No doubt this posting of mine will get vamooshed in the meantime, but just to let you all know I am off and I won't be back.
Thanks for all your help and advice over the years. I enjoyed being part of the group, but I have decided for extenuating reasons to call it a day on here and no longer contribute.
Keep up the good work.

Great news Fuddle.
I used Hattongarden to sell my old wedding ring, great service.
I'm another one who has lived through recessions, 3 day week, sky high mortgage interest rates etc. etc.
When my first son was 2 years old, he had no clothes left that fit him, my mum sent him 2 jumpers & I made him 2 pairs of dungarees from an old pair of trousers. You try managing with just 2 outfits for a lively 2 year old, lol. We had no central heating, just an open fire in the lounge & we couldn't afford enough coal to have it lit apart from weekends.
Jump forward 30 years, got divorced at 50, started from scratch, everything in the house was/is 2nd hand given by friends an family, most is still in use, nothing matches & we don't care, car is 17 years old, work full time in school, temp work during the school hols, take in lodgers, dog sit, sex chat line, anything to make ends meet.
Yes sometimes I'd like a break, to stop working so damned hard, but I have my lovely hubby who works as hard as I do, he does overtime, grows veg in our tiny garden & saves us a fortune. I stretch food as far as I can, last week I stretched 1 burger to feed 2 grown men by slicing it & adding mushrooms, onion & lettuce! We are sat, wrapped in a quilt, watching a video, 'Baby's day out' lol, happy as Larry.
