(((Hugs))) Jem, I had a miscarriage too, at 14 weeks, and we don't talk about it either. TBH I have no idea what DH thinks about it or even if he ever thinks about it, he was away on business and while I told him of course, he was away for the worst bit. I think you need to communicate to your DH that you're sad and that you'd like you both to work on your relationship a bit.

My mother had a miscarriage, I was quite young (5ish) and wasn't aware she was pregnant, but my parents named her (they were told the sex) and often talked about her, I even found a mother'd day card recently written by my father, but on behalf of my miscarried sister.

I feel that it is important to talk about these things, I don't mean all the time or even to the extent of my parents, but I'm not sure healing can truly take place without it.

JEM, sorry thinks are not great for you. I think deep down maybe your OH is scared too. I know men think in a non normal way to us, well my OH does!!! Recently we have only just deiscussed what i did some 20 years ago. Not the same by any means, and not anything i am proud of at all. I had just had our first child, and literally a few months later i was pregnant again. My mental state wasnt good by any means, what with postnal depression and OH being unemployed things werent gd. The decision not to go ahead with the pregnancy still haunts me to this day. Can i forgive myself, no. when i visited my dad after he had dies, it was to appologise if he had met him/her. To say how sorry i was and ashamed that i caould never share the secret with the real world. Then to have to take my daughter who was 15 and then experience it all again when she was stupid enough to sleep with her ex boyfiiend, and get pregnant. I had to have councelling over this, and we shared the secret together at the session. Was she shocked, yes. Do i regret her finding out, no.

On a different note, the bank said we cant have a bank account. We owe nothing have £43 savings lol but we arent allowed a bank account. Oh well, only another few months until the BR ends and then i might be a wanted customer then. Have to say the person in the branch just said it happens often.. really??

Right off to clean the bathroom, need to have some time on my own, and if i bleach i can say that is making me cry!!!

    take care x

I had emergency c section & nearly lost DS1, then an ectopic then the rest of my children, when I see them all together I can still 'see' the gap where the missing child should be. Do try to talk your hubby, communication is very important.

nutty, I think Barclays are the only people who now let undischarged BRs have a basic bank account. Co-op stopped as one third of their basic account holders were in insolvency or debt management.

Only time I went off tea I was up the duff Fuddle! Both times it was my early warning sign - /QUOTE]

    Me too stiltwalker.

Thanks katieowl for the tip about the polenta. I have only used it once before and the was a long time ago in an unsuccessful cake recipe. This time I need it for a Butternut squash tortellini (another Hairy Dieters recipe I am trying tonight). The recipe for the tortellini dough can also be used to make lasagna, ravioli and tagliatelle so it is worth investing in a bag of the polenta as I will use it for all of these.

    Mrs VP

Just a quick heads up polenta comes in several grades, the one I use for baking is fine, and I think you should check the recipe and see if it specifies. The 'medium' and 'coarse' grades do not make good cake, so it may be that the tortellini (if is part of the case) will need a fine grain. You may also see it labelled corn flour...when it will be yellow. Not like the corn starch (called cornflour) that we thicken sauces with. HTH

Completely correct RAS as always. We're with Barclays and have been since that awful day in court. They will welcome you as a customer I'm sure.

Irish stew has stewed. I padded out with more barley and only 250g of lamb instead of recommended 900g!

Can I ask? What is the cheapest cut of lamb? I'm using supermarket diced £4 for 250g sure if I bought some, maybe on the bone it would be cheaper?
