Come home recently from my 3rd week of self defence and I can bear it no longer. I felt irritated and uncomfortable in equal measure. The other participants bar me and one other were behaving so inappropriately, using bad langauge, sexual innuendos, some directed at the male tutor, almost bragging about past fights (??), joking about bringing in toy guns to see how we would all cope if there was a shooter in the school. The tutor said nothing until the last 5 mins with a weak reference to it being a school. I was going to just walk out but out of respect to the tutor, I stuck the class and didn't join in/laugh when the others did. I think it was obvious I wasn't impressed. Anyway I have left a message with the course office to say Dragon Den style "I'm out!" and they know why.

Have an hour to get a few chores done and then off to Aldees - to use another £5 off voucher and unfortunately complain/return some beef I bought to make a casserole last night. I am starting to think I should buy my meat elsewhere as this is the 2nd time its happenned.

I have until Friday to get a CV together for an employment skills course next week. I have a 9 year gap to fill since being at home with the kids and feeling a bit under pressure time wise. Tomorrow I am looking after a friend's childmindee baby as she has a funeral so don't think I will get much done then and tonight and Thurs are DH's college nights. I foresee a late night Thurs eve getting it done.

ok gotta prise myself off the chair and put clean bedding on

    laters folks, take care

  • Afternoon Toughies, have just come back from a very cold walk with the boy and wish to report that the Camellias that were in bud last week are now in full bloom, They are on a sunny corner and it is just one bush so far, but it looks as if spring is starting to sprung at least in the deep south. It doesn't feel very spring like out there today though does it? Cheers Lyn xxx.

DH has heard there are redundancies looming in his company. : (
Really hope we don't go through all that again.

Possession, that's so unsettling to hear isn't it? Hoping he will be ok. We have had the same hanging over us for at least a couple of years. One round of voluntary redundancies in the summer, now talk of centralistion and/or contracting posts out - all different ways to cut back on staff or reduce salaries. Sometimes a crystal ball would be good as we worry sometimes for nothing. Chin up love

  • Kidkat please take some time to yourself to recharge your batteries. Will light a candle and send my thoughts your way tonight.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.
