unixgirl, re your 'friend' not actually living the house permantly. Our neighbour did exactly the same, basically for the single persons money. The father of her child said he couldnt afford for them to move in. In november last year the council finally gave her the push. And they are now trying to recover what was claimed, so i expect they arent going to be having a good year. You can give the information annomously ??sp?? if your worried, and yes they do have to investigate every claim. They check things like mail being delivered, credit checks, holidays being booked etc also bank account transactions. Seems like there are many ways to trace these things.
Thank you. I just don't get why people lie about those things and make it difficult for those that actually need help. I volunteer in a CS in the town where this woman's house is and one of the customers that comes in is looking for a 2 bed house nearby so she can be near her elderly Mum so she and her son can care for her. This house is one street over from where her Mum lives. I might speak to another volunteer in the CS who retired from social work and seek her advice. I don't like blabbing but what this woman is doing is wrong and preventing those that need help from getting it, and still she has the cheek to moan she's not getting this or that.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
