MrsLW:- I have found that their apples and tangerines are going off quicker.
I had a bit of unpleasantness at the school gate this morning.
The snow was cleared enough to drive to the school with occasional double width for cars to pass each other. I got to the gate only to be stopped by another car. He had a double width about five foot behind him but would not reverse and wanted me to reverse 200 yards to let him pass. I asked him to reverse and he refused again. I think he expected me to be a 'woman' and wring my hands!
Instead, since I was at the school, I got the children out off the car, locked it and proceeded to get them into the school gate. I waited as usual to check they were through the second gate and this man went off it. Still sitting in his car and threatening to get me! Shouting and bawling and I tried to say just go back five foot but he was raging! He drove his car into the deep snow to get past, I'm sure he will have damaged it.
The other parents could not believe how unpleasant he was. I know I was being bl**dy minded sorting the twins but that's what I was there for and I didn't want them to be late.
I think I am too old to be having to deal with idiots flexing their macho muscle at half eight in the morning.
Cor, what a wally, throwing his toys out the pram. I bet that fool is a joy to live with.0 -
Just look at our triumphant Fuddle, winning against the damn landlord :j:j - you did well, and rightly so. Now you can concentrate on the future for yourself and your lovely family. And very eloquent too, you are comfortable with a subject you feel passionate about and thats fab.
We have been buying fruit and veg off the local market where it is quite cheap and in small packs. the veg is brilliant and last but have noticed now we are in the depths of winter the fruit has little taste and goes mouldy quickly. Having to buy it from one of the SM's much against our better judgement as OH and DGS need good vitamin content.
LL has almost finished fencing our back garden :T:T the hedges are all gone along with the trouble they cause me every year. The garden is much bigger now apart from the left side where the neighbours (bought their council house years ago) refused the free fence as they didnt feel secure without the hedges - they already have fancy metal cages over all the windows and doors . Silly sods Im now waiting for them to do the front and put our little driveway in so the car will be right near the front door. I am doing the happy dance as I write. Now have room for a couple of small apple trees and a nice bed of shrubs (10p bought by Oh last year) just need some warmth and sunshine and Im awayClearing the junk to travel light

I will get my caravan0 -
Fuddle when I did it I was having a griled chicken breast with a mixed salad and a couple of spoons of rice. I had black tea or fruit tea first thing, water all day, evening meal with more water and then another warm drink in the evening. I did two days I a row rather than 2 random days a week. I found it very easy and looked forward to my meal. The water was key.....lots of water."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Mary the Aldi £5 off voucher is this Thursday.
DS is now the proud owner of 2 fish! And probably against my better judgement we have said DD can have 2 rabbits.
I can thoroughly recommend Ainsley Harriott's pea and mint risotto which is £1.20 for 4 at Approved Foods if you're making an order - great for when you're in a hurry, and really tasty. Not cook from scratch food obviously!
Fuddle well done for sticking to your guns and getting your money back.0 -
thanks for the headsup possession for the £5 voucher at @ldi's. Will be shopping there this week for the essentials. i too found the veg to be not as fresh, but it is cheaper than the other SM. Just need to use them up quickly.
