Hi Nannato3 and Purell Queen (is that purell as in hand sanitiser)?
My interview tomorrow (have been comfort eating for 2 days), wish me luck as I really want this job. OH had an interview today but it has been moved to Friday as the interviewer has the winter vomiting virus. I hope he/she is fully clear of it by then.
Cannot remember who was having problems with their grandchild getting out of the car seat. We had the same issues with DD2 who was very high spirited but has a boney neck problem that meant she had to be securely restrained in a car. We ended up with a 5 point harness for hyperactive children that was secured around the back seat. This was used with a booster seat and was very sucessful.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

At the moment we are getting through £40 per week in gas, we're on a card meter and only £3 per week of that is going towards debt. The thermostat is set as low as I can put it and not have anyone freeze to death. I've done all the draft proofing I can but when you live in an old drafty house it's verging on the impossible trying to keep up.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Welcome Purell Queen and Nannato3.
Purell Queen that diet sounds horrendously boring and would drive me quackers very quickly! You mentioned a transplant - does that mean the bland diet is over for your hubby? I hope so.
When it comes to decluttering i have been doing some myself recently. But most of it is stuff belonging to my eldest daughter. Hopefully tonight a carpet, underlay and a sofa will be disappearing to her new flat. hooray! space in my garage for me to use as a store.
white bread only
cornflakes rice crispies or porridge for breakfast
no raw tomato and only 3oz of cooked or tomato based sauces
no dried fruits
some normal fruits were forbidden
and no tinned soups or beans
added to all that he was diabetic as well
But fortunately its all behind him now he was lucky enough to get a kidney and pancreas transplant several months ago
no more diabetes :T and no more dialysis :TMrs_Veg_Plot wrote: »Hi Nannato3 and Purell Queen (is that purell as in hand sanitiser)?

Yes its Purell as in the hand sanitizer i've developed an addiction to iti have to have a small bottle with me everywhere i go, OH chose to do CAPD as his dialysis (well i did it for him as he is registered blind) it was done 4 times a day and everything had to be clean and sterile and what with that and how much time we spend at hospitals i think it was inevitable

Crikey that must have been a nightmare diet to cater for Purell Queen, you have my utmost respect for managing to follow it! It sounds poor on the nutrition front as well....they give people the strangest diets to follow sometimes.“The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin.” Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC):A0

it was horrendous but could have been much worse at least he was never subjected to fluid restrictions like a lot of other kidney patients who can have as little as 200mls of fluid in a day which includes any soup, gravy, sauces or wet foods imagine not being able to drink a mug of tea or coffee(which was forbidden ) whenever you wish.0

:hello: Hello and welcome nannato3 and Purell Queen. Nice to have you posting. We're a right bunch of chatterboxes, with the sole exception of Mardatha, who insists she's a quiet wee thing.
Mar and I are at opposite ends of the country but I have a sense that she may just be fibbing a bit there.;)
(((Jem))) I can't understand why anyone, never mind a close relative, would think it acceptable to taunt you like that. It's outrageous and you have every right to be upset. But remember that you're the better person and a special Mum to your three boys.
Mrs VP, best wishes for a successful job inteview tomorrow, keeping various extremities crossed on your behalf.
Been to work and came home again. Nowt else of excitement.
:T But I did find £1.05 on the pavement today, so some lucky dust has sifted down onto my shoulders.
Right, have warmed myself up beautifully with a h.m. soup of Random Veg (butternut, lentil, celery and spud) which has proved surprisingly successful. I'm not one of life's keen cooks so when randomness works out, no one could be more gratified.
Keep warm and well, everybody.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

When I first took ill I saw some very frightening things on the kidney ward at the hospital that scared me but all patients tried to be so positive and give me hope.
One used to have to do as Purell Queen says boil potatoes twice to get rid of certain chemicals that come out of them when cooking and he used get meals from the hospital meant for kidney patients that were put in the freezer at home.

<Silly question re. pets alert>
It's DS's birthday soon and he is adamant that he'd like a goldfish. Is there anything in particular I should know?0
