No more snow here Possession...but often my town seems to miss out on a lot of it and if we get it I know it must be bad. I think a little bit came down around 4pm yesterday. It's a little cooler indoors than yesterday but it seemed reasonably ok for most of yesterday.
What we have will take some time to thaw though as once it arrives that is always the case."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Hope you dont mind me joining you all, I have been a lurker for a few months and loved reading all your posts and ideas.
I dont work due to some health issues, and the same as most on here money is very tight with most things going up.
I have taken on some of tips and ideas from here and learned alot.
Some days are easier than others with the pain, but you just have to keep going as they are others far worst off.
I am very grateful that I have a roof over my head, warm bed and clothes and plently of food. Everything else is a bonus.0 -

And welcome from me to! We're a friendly bunch and don't bite (well except when we run out of cakes and sweeties;))0

Thank you Softstuff.
I see you are in Australia, my DS lives in Perth with his DW and little girl and my DD lives in Tasmania with her DH and 2 little girls. the other DD travels with her job.
Was in Queensland quite a few years ago visiting my DB and loved it.
Wouldnt mind abit of sun right now. Its so cold and the snow has turned to ice. At least I dont have to go out in it.
Thank you 7WW0 -

Same here Nannato3 regarding not going out but though I like my own company and could stay indoors for days...now I live alone I do find I suddenly have to "get out!" even though there is little to do and its the same streets, the same shops and really there is nothing I want to buy."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. And here - we are border west and east midlands. My DD has come home from school as she said it is treacherous there and her 8.00 lesson was cancelled, but no-one told them. She has nothing then till after lunch (6th form) and was worried about getting home. As it is, it has taken her nearly 3 hours to get into Birmingham and out again - would normally take an hour.
I should be working but can't seem to start - the house is a tip and that's distracting me (I am easily distracted). I will do what's essential for work tomorrow and leave the rest until the weekend, I think, and concentrate on some "housey" bits. I love that my job is flexible enough to do that.
I feel an urge to make cakes...I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Thank you for the welcome everyone.0

Thank you for the welcome everyone.
Good to have you along...
Cake you say VJ's Mum...I think I will give in tonight and have some Golden Syrup cake with some custard. Time to have some treats, I have usually just been having my main meals and given up on desserts etc...
A question...seeing I am watching how much protein I am eating it seems a waste to cook a whole meat loaf. I thought about portioning it out and keeping some back but could I cut it into slices and sort of fry it rather than baking the whole thing in an oven. Or could I put a slice of it on a George Foreman grill? Thanks."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson
