SQ thank you too for the help with the seat problem. Trouble is he doesnt actually undoe the belt just wriggles out of it, straight into my arms. Its more an attitude problem ie. Im getting out and Im too strong to stop:p Going to try and jazz it up though thats a fab idea.

As for your lack of oomph at the moment, maybe you took a little too much on at once and are just nervous about it. Im sure when you get started you can re- assess what you need to do. I hate new things after years of painful Management seminars where I had to 'perform' and hated every minute of, I now would really have to drag myself to things but Im guessing once you are over your initial apprehension you may well enjoy the challenge. By the way once I got myself to the meetings and started talking I did well, just that stomach churning bit and the lack of sleep the night before. It could be early signs of the menopause as hormones are obviously washing round you. Hope you wake up tomorrow full of excitement at the prospect hugs ginny

Ginny I had a friend whose DD undid her seatbelt constantly (she wasn't autistic, but she was very spirited). The only way she could stop her was to stop the car instantly when she did it, and refuse to move again until she was belted up. It took a while and was very frustrating but it worked. You can get covers for the button, but as said, it makes the seatbelt more difficult to undo in an emergency too.

7WW and others, A pea burf dee
    Sorry for those with woes

Back at work today and actually got to teach my own class - my first timetabled lesson of the year, LOVED IT. They are a lively bunch and I think there will be some interesting debates - especially the student who thinks he knows more than I do about the subject. Love those ;)

DD is back at school tomorrow :T unless we get the threatened "snow bomb" - we are on the edge of the zone so may escape. I am working at home so a double result! DS went back today but said it was highly dangerous on the school grounds. Anyone seen the "snow zombies" picture? some people are wasted talents, they really are.

OH did the shopping this week which, on the one hand, I am grateful for as I don't have to do it but, on the other hand, I don't like most of what he's bought. Minging shop bought quiche today - was a bit bleurgh. I will be glad to be back holding the reins.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Pops - I use stock cubes in all my stews and casseroles unless I have a nice HM stock available, but with the amount I use its just not possible to have that much HM stock, the cubes come in really handy. As for the salt - I just add alot less salt myself. :)

I went in work today and just mentioned I might not be able to afford it and one of the girls said " surely you'll be able to afford £13!" which made me feel a bit bad but I didn't know unless things changed drastically. I also said it's not just £13 0r £20 for the meal it's the extra £& then drinks etc.
Starting to save £2 coins again, but it is a struggle:rotfl:Not doing very well keep spending them

Milly - maybe you can remember an important appointment or family thing you cant miss, I hate the idea of lying but if it keeps the peace and helps then why not:)

People just don't get it do they? Wages are low, some of us don't have savings and essentials keep going up in price(rent, bedroom tax for some, food, utility bills etc...)if it is difficult to afford...stand your ground and don't feel guilty.

The others probably can't afford it either. It is probably going on credit cards, because they haven't had their 'light bulb moment' as yet! Or they are being guilt tripped into it
