I didn't get the job. Bit upset but not letting it get to me (too much). Yes I cried but I need to pick myself up and carry on. Last day at work wasn't pleasant.

Busy trying to get everything done before christmas day and I'm fast running out of hours. Now both head lights on the car have gone so I need to get that fixed tomorrow. Oh and SS's present is faulty so needs to be exchanged tomorrow and I can't find one of my Mum's presents!

    Mardatha Happy Birthday :bdaycake

Mrs LW congrats on the great news

Unixgirl so sorry about the job, try to enjoy your Christmas all the same.

Well all of the presents are wrapped and the food shop is done. The mince pies are made along with the biscuits I am giving as part of gift hampers (twinks with added cranberries), they just need putting into gift bags which I will make tomorrow.
Will prep for the Christmas lunch and the buffet tea tomorrow morning and then hopefully chill after my physio session a charge my batteries for the big day (wishful thinking).

:rudolf: In case I do not get chance to get on here tomorrow here's wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year :rudolf:.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

Well I've had a perfect birthday. All my kids at home, with their wee ones, lots of tea lots of cake and lots of laughing. All gone home now, and I'm tucking into the Thorntons and the Cointreau :)

Go you....sweeties and booze. Happy Birthday. :bdaycake:
  • Mar: there was an accident on the A697 by the junction with the A68. I don't know the details, but there was a horrible number of blue flashing lights up by the Carefraemill Hotel/pub so the police were diverting us into Lauder.

Unixgirl - really sorry to hear you didn't get the job, but with your positive attitude and all the applications you've got in I'm sure you will get something early in the New Year. Did you every find out anything more about the wee dog at the garage?

Everybody's Christmas preps sound like they're going well: hope everyone gets there without too much stress.

Time for nurse to do the rounds at the 7ww cottage hospital. Hot juice, cough medicine and paracetamol all round!

    Sleep well all.

I have biscuits, cake, all I need to have a Christmas meal but no chocolate. Trying to decide if I should get some...it is nice but seems pretty expensive(and it does't last long)If I do I think I will have to go to Aldi's where it is a little bit cheaper...

I am not a hugs person, but you sound like you've had one of those days when you really need one. Sometimes you just have to write those days off as well duff. I've had quite a lot of them myself. They just suck.
  • So Sorry Unix - here's hoping the new year will bring you something even better.

Happy birthday Mar - hope the birthday faries brought you lots of sweeties.

Had a lovely pre Christmas weekend with my parents, lots of lovely food and drink and pressies. Mr T has delivered the shopping - just got the turkey to pick up from the butchers tomorrow and all the prep to do. Need to make a list! Went to the carols outside the pub earlier this evening which was lovely and festive and it's the village carol service in the church tomorrow.

Hoping you all have a lovely Christmas if I don't catch you tomorrow - Helen X

    Happy belated birthday Mar.

Sorry to hear about the job Unix *hugs*. If you didn't get it, it wasn't right for you and there'll be a better one.

Kidcat, sounds like you had a hell of a day too. I'd have given your OH a kick up the bum for that.

Nuttyp, hope you get your pup in the new year. He'd be the luckiest chap around being spoilt by you.

I'd normally be dashing around too, but have no reasons to dash this year. Just quiet and mostly normal for us here. We might head to the supermarket for reductions later.
