Well I've had a perfect birthday. All my kids at home, with their wee ones, lots of tea lots of cake and lots of laughing. All gone home now, and I'm tucking into the Thorntons and the Cointreau0

GQ - just shove some boot polish in the strategic places and worry about the sewing another time
I had a panic a while back......bread, I need more bread and mayo, I'm half way through the jar, I might need more......then I gave myself a virtual slap and figured I've got a bread machine and all the ingredients and if visitors dont want fresh bread they can go without....as for mayo....am I really going to use half a jar in the next week? No.....so shush woman. This epithany coincided with a glass of wine. Strange eh?"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

For anyone else inspired by Monnagran, and by NuttyP's post about the homeless man she helped, have a look at this. https://en-gb.facebook.com/rucksackproject We can all do something, and it doesn't have to cost us much (in fact, maybe I should post it on the hoarders thread ;-))0 -

Happy Birthday Mar! We nearly dropped in to see you when we got diverted through Lauder and towards the A7 on the way back to Edinburgh this evening!
Hope everyone's Christmas preps are going ok. I appear to be running a cottage hospital as both my mum and my OH have stinking colds - I just hope I can avoid getting anything until at least Boxing Day!
Have a good evening and a peaceful Christmas Eve everyone.0 -
I think I have done everything that I possibly can in preparation, its just a case of waiting until tomorrow to do the rest. Have got the apples all done and in the fridge for my dads apple crumble, an ice cream pudding in the freezer, jellies in the fridge and the mincemeat for the souffles and pies all ready to go .
Just need to prep the veg tomorrow and get the rest of the stuff from the freezer and we are done thank goodness. Have even put away the SC from the worktop and the grill thingy too clearing some space for Tues.
Greenbee what a lovely idea I have posted it to my FB page and a few of my friends have shared it too.0 -
