Unix - hugs to you x
7WW - love the nativity, it's fab. What a lovely reminder of your dad.
Kezlou - some people just don't think, I've witnessed it so much with DH, ive had to learn to bite my tongue and not let it upset me. If they can live with the fact that they've caused you distress then no amount of reasoning or explaining will get through. Hope you're feeling better today.

I'm off to Bruge Christmas markets today!!!! So excited. DD1 is home with DH so I expect they'll have fallen out by the end of the day....but hey, I'm having a me day so tough!

Hope you have a lovely time Pooky:xmastree:

Im going to finish my Christmas Tree today. It is the latest it has ever not been done:(

Kezlou - I have learnt to be assertive over the years and now just go where I need to go. I used to apologise a lot for getting in the way of able bodied people but just set my nose in the direction I want and go for it. It might be considered rude by some but is nothing compared to those people who think it is fine to hit me in the face with their bags and almost cram their crotches in my face because they can not be bothered to walk around me. As for disabled toilets and disabled car parking - dont get me started but I do understand x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Morning all. I was hoping everyone had had a good weekend but sadly not.
Possession i hope your poor husband doesnt have whiplash but i agree with others that he should be checked out, possibly once a week until sure he is definately not suffering, since others have said it can take a while for the symptoms to appear. I hope the car can be fixed quickly too.
Meme30 - the poor little girl. Her parents must be devastated. I hope she can be cured quickly.
Unixgirluk - (((hugs))) and best wishes for finding a new job.
7WW - your Nativity is beautiful!
With regards to ordianry people using disabled loos, they should be ashamed of themselves. I know i always was very worrried whenever i had to use a baby changing table in a disabled toilet and got in and out as fast as possible - and i NEVER fed my children in them (urgh to eating in the loos!) I used to find a big problem was the 2 sets of doors to get into most ladies loos meant i physically couldnt get my pram into them or i would have used them instead and leavingthe pram outside them wasnt an option due to space in narrow corridors and too many tea leafs around!
  • I had a fairly good weekend but i wish i could shift my head cold. Constant headaches that just sit there in the back of the head are so annoying!
On the plus side, half the gifts are wrapped and the children have finished buying their gifts too. I found in Boots yesterday that i can print pictures straight from my phone:j I was so pleased as it meant i could get copies of a lovely picture i took of my son with two of his primary school friends at their leaving play printed to give to their parents. I also printed off a picture of my youngest looking particuarly cheeky as she had pinched her brothers baseball cap and bought a frame for it so thats a gift for her dad, and the last picture was one of a young cousin of mine in fancy dress wearing a very long witch wig and camoflage make up along with a fake moustasche! That will be given to her parents tonight:p.

Morning All, thanks for all the kind wishes. This is my last week and believe me I'm finding it tough. People who normally speak to me aren't. But then again I don't know who else is affected. I can only think about me at the moment here and I know thats selfish. Made a few calls this morning and most have said "we'll call you back", I'm being my usual impatient self (i.e. 5 mins later, why haven't they called?). I applied for 3 jobs over the weekend and so far I have 1 rejection.

I'm trying to stay positive but its hard. Please ask the universe to send a bit of good luck my way please.

  • Unixgirl: don't worry about only thinking about yourself at the moment: it's not selfish - it's survival. I guess now's the time to call in every favour and think of every contact you have. I've got everything crossed for you and am asking the universe for positive vibes for you.

    Take care

unixgirl - as 7ww says you need to go into survival mode at the moment, you can think of others when you have had time to settle and digest but for now, its all still very new and raw. ((Hugs))

Unixgirl there are jobs out there and you WILL find one that's right for you. It's a slow time to be looking though so don't be disheartened if it takes a little longer, so many people are away around Christmas and New Year.
