Evening everyone, had some bad news on friday. My job finishes up this coming friday. I can't believe it. Pretty upset.

One week's notice and a few days shy of Christmas. What a stinky scummy thing to do to anyone. We're here for you, hun.

    Brilliant -:D

DS8 is full of joy tonight, having had such a wonderful day he came home had his dinner and bath and then as if by magic his favourite cuddly toy (AWOL for two months) re-appeared, its a reindeer!! He is convinced that it has been off visiting Santa and the elves but so overjoyed to have him home. :j:j:jI have no idea how I will persuade him to leave him at home tomorrow.

Thanks for all your thoughts today.:A

I did attempt to ice the cake. Instead of making my own Royal icing I bought Silv*r Sp**n's Royal Icing mix , just add water...It's just pants!:(
The icing flowed off the cake as fast as I was putting it on. I had to put several thin layers on and it took forever. Never again!
Also managed to do the pigs in blankets and stuffing b*lls, all of which are in the freezer ready to be warmed up on Christmas Day. Am going to try par cooking my roasties, freezing them and cooking them from frozen again. Not sure how it will work so I am practising it. I hate having hot trays of Goose fat around when the grandchildren will be running about.

    7weekwonder- love the nativity!

fuddle - glad the moves all going well.

gq - hope your feeling better soon.

kidcat the snow machine sounds fab and get some rest!

I remember the dunblaine shootings and the awful stabbings here where i live. Its was awful:(

Took the boys out for a craft session today at a local museum, it was good and not too busy. DS1 was pushing me about while OH worked on the bathroom. DS2 went to see father christmas and really enjoyed it, the actors were lovely and took they time with everyone and had a little chat with the children. DS2 came straight home and put his present under the tree. Today we spent a whopping £2.20 on seeing santa, crafts and completing 2 christmas trails.

DS1 struggled on the way back as he insisted on pushing me home from the museum, daft paths were all on a slant. Poor lad:( but he didn't complain.

Please don't think i'm anti children / baby because i'm not, but what i'm about to write could offend some people.

After the tree cutting we went to a local garden centre on the way back home for a hot choclate and a snack. The lads went to the loo and OH took me to the disabled toilets, i was in the wheel chair and i could barely walk, second time i've ever used them.

Anyways they was a family in front of me, the disabled toilet waa also the baby changing room. Anyways after 20 mins and we were still waiting outside the toilets. I was busting for the loo, i couldn't hold on any longer. My OH literally pushed me into womens toilet and i had to struggle to walk / get into a toilet, luckily they were rails all over. When i got in there i noticed another baby change in the womens i asked my 8 year old to tell the family with the baby so they could use it.

Anyways i used the loo, i struggled back to the wheelchair, i was in total agony. My legs were so painful i was in tears, i really scared ds2 and my OH. So as i was getting the wheel chair the family came out of the disabled toilet and said to me "the baby didn't like the changing room in the woman's so we thought right we'll use the disabled one". They 10 year old daughter came out and said she didn't like that one either.

I mean come on people i've had two children and would never have made a person in a wheelchair wait while i changed / breastfed my chld when they were other facilities nearby. I mean i feel guilty using the disabled toilets in town, even though my OH had to phsyically pick me up and put me on the toilet as i couldn't walk.

    Sorry for the rant everyone:o:o

Oh!!! We use that to ice the gingerbread men and it's fine for piping...I've never tried it on a big area? I shall bear that in mind!

Unixgirl I'm so sorry to hear about the job, and so outraged on your behalf at their appalling timing.
Kezlou some people just don't think at all do they. I can feel your pain through what you wrote though, (((hugs))). That's where I was before the knee replacements. They changed my life.
