I was born on the 30th and I'm a narcissist! :rotfl:Give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”0

Im usually Vixen but decided to use my crafty name. the family call me Ginny and I knits, constantly.
been busy on fleabay again and the hummungous pile of goodies is being whittled down and the coffers filing up :T:T:T its true you can sell all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff and people buy itOh has parted with a lot of speedway memorabilia which was filling the loft and doing no flipping good at all. I could have covered the wall of a castle with the amount of pennants he has. Now darling Ds has unloaded his bounty on me for e fee to be discussed when the cash is in my account. its time consuming but time is one thing I also have lots of.
managed to conjur up a rather nice fish pie and finish some knitting whilst Oh was having a sleepy day again.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Popping in quickly before bed to say Byatt I am so glad Bess pulled through. I read your initial post that she was at the vet's and my heart was in my mouth until I read your follow-up post saying she'd made it. Our pets are so precious. Even Bruno, who woke me up just after six this morning by digging furiously at his bed (I didn't have to be in work until 11am) ....
I've had to skim read to catch up but I did look at your photos, Stiltwalker - you all looked so happy. I especially like the one of you and your OH holding hands in front of the registrar - much more romantic than the John Lewis advert!!
And who made the cakes - I forget? But they were brilliant and not at all the thing a lass needs to see just before her period starts, they set off massive cake cravings :rotfl:.
Has anyone heard from PAH?
My wellies have sprung a leak . In true MSE OS fashion, I tried to fix them using rubber cement and patches from my puncture kit. It's only been partially successful so I will be hoofing off to TK Maximus on Thursday to try and find some more. I only have size 2 feet so hoping for a bargain in the kids' section!
Right, I must get off to bed or I will never be up for work in the morning. Sweet dreams everyone xx.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Swear! Scream! Spit! and Double Spit!
Everything set for Rev's op tomorrow. All transport arrangements made. Bag packed. Nighties purchased. Nothing to eat after 7.00pm. Early night ready for disgustingly early start tomorrow. Flags washed and ironed ready for me to raise and plans made (by me) for the next week on my own.
Hospital ring. Op cancelled for the second time because no bed available.
Treble Spit!I believe that friends are quiet angels

It's been a bit of a day!
Mostly spent looking after my poorly DGD and helping my poorly DD a bit. Sorting out all the rest of the usual days chores, all blown up by a phone call.
My DH has seven sisters, all very closr. This year, in April one was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. It's been very emotional, feeling so helpless as she suffered and coped with the treatment she could have, but she got through it.
Another two of his sisters have been seriously ill too, with one of them having to have two separate surgeries for gall stones and a hip replacement this year, but they got through it.
Today came the news that another of them is ill, she has Breast Cancer. In the midst of cooking DGD's lunch and everything else, we just wanted to run away. It just felt too overwhelming on top of everything else. We wanted to cry together but couldn't because the bairn was here. We are heartbroken. DH had to go to work and I am waiting for him to come in just so we can hug and cry together.
Goodness knows how her family is coping, her husband has MS and her daughter is about to have major spinal surgery later this month.
This is a real test of my faith. as I sit here tonight, thinking of all the what ifs and it's not fair's. It's hard to reconcile my belief in a greater power than us when there are people suffering at the best of times, but selfishly, this feels worse.
I have always felt incredibly lucky in my faith, in that I know there is another life after this one. I believe in communication with the dead, and I don't fear being dead. I know that the people who I love are sitting with me as I grieve alone tonight, I can feel their warmth around me.
But like child I'm still crying 'it's not fair'
Sorry if this is too much for everyone, I just needed to talk it out IYKWIMGive us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”0 -
Fuddle- I just bought a house this year. My aunt bought me a garden set for about £100 with 4 chairs and a bistro glass table. You could ask if any of your friends have a set in their shed you could borrow for Xmas. With a tablecloth no one wold know!
Or we do ALOT of festivals, so have lots of the fold up 2x£10 camping chairs which could be used with pasting tables. And they hold your drinks!0
