Fingers crossed for you Byatt.
Good news on Aldi Fuddle. Ours is opposite a Mr T which I barely go in now. Yesterday I popped in on the way to school to pick up a xmas pressie I'd got on the voucher double-up, but didn't even look at any food. Does anyone know if Mr T are still accepting Sainsbobs spend and save vouchers? I just got sent a sheet of 4 £12 off a £60 spend and Mr S is about 12 miles away, I never go there. It's a pretty good spend and save though so if Mr t accepts them I'll shop there.0 -

Birthday hugs Shegar
I am going to put my new curtains up in the sitting room in a minute. The old ones are very thin and were shortened a tad too much by a well meaning friend when we had not long decorated that room. I will be fixing these ones myself (the length is 98 inches so I had to buy 108 inches). These ones are also lined so we'll be warmer.
Kittie I have had 3 migraines in just over a week lately, which have seemed to start with a pain in my sinuses. I couldn't figure out why when it's usually stomach related. Your information has helped me to make the connection and hopefully do something about it.
I was given Omprezole a while back but it made me very very tired Mardatha and also very hungry. Just wondering if that could be some of the reason for your ME seeming worse sometimes. I had to stop taking it because I could have just slept all day. Back to ranatidine goes I, and the gaviscon.
I've had the winter cold thing that's going round, but after a week of mostly staying in and doing only essential things, I seem to be on the mend.
Pipney Jayne I love Joyce Grenfell
Take care all of you.0 -
Happy Birthday Shegar!
Been out for some things today, back and WM on and having a hot fruit tea.
Kittie - thanks for post, thanks also for the snow forecasts - I really appreciate them.
Sost Stuff - hope you have a better day
You too Mardatha - stick your butt in this direction and I'll give it a kick if you want but I think kindness is better so am sending positive thoughts for sunny days and a skip in your step.
Haribo - what fun having folk to stay! Hope you get lovely sunny days. Hope also you feel better soon. Frosty sunny days needed maybe to kill off germs. PM Kittie if you can't find her post as it was really useful. Someone else had a good post too about colds which included toddies:p
Am running the freezer down so it's odd things for tea for a while. The drawers are pretty jammed with frost so it's time it was done.
I'm working Mon and Fri this week then full-time from Mon - haven't done that since mid July. Won't know what's hit me but am trying to get self organised. I'm pleased though as it's back with my old team and I have some good friends there.
Ok, off to dust:eek:. No, that's just madness speaking. Will have a wee browse here instead:p0 -
Byatt - ((hugs)) hope doggy is ok
Pipney Jane - I agree about the payout, things are incredibly difficult here at the moment and I am not sure how long I can continue doing everything solo, both littlies schools have become difficult about mornings drop offs and I can please neither without seriously upsetting the other.
I managed it this morning but the timing is just too tight, relied heavily on my getting up at 5am (having been up with DS8 until after 1am) and on my racing (sprinting across playgrounds etc) and left everyone very wound up and upset.
Long term I am beginning to think that the only way forward is for OH to not work for a while, so if he was made redundant now(which has been rumbling anyway) and we got a good payout it would make things easier. But his ego would be very wounded and he wound struggle to accept it.0 -

The Christmas tree is a sore subject PiC. I'm one of these loons that put their tree up on the 1st of December, wreath on door etc. I can't do that this year
What is the betting the tree is up even before all the pots and pans are put away :rotfl:
The real snag is what to do for Christmas lunch now. My table is too large for the house so I have to sell it.That leaves us with christmas lunch on our knees this year. I can't be getting a small table just yet. Teensy problem though, nothing to worry about.

Aw Byatt! They're lovely.
So funny, I showed Alfie the pic of Jackie and Bess. His tail wagged and off he went to the window to find them :rotfl:0
