princess your brother and his family will be fine
good luck to all those with awaiting exam results.
SQ your day sounds fantastic, enjoy
The sun seems to have disappeared today behind grey clouds. Just hoping it doesn't rain as all our bedding is on the line.
Had a nightmare this morning with the lads not of them would get ready for school. DS1 nearly missed his bus because he was ars!ing about. DS2 had about four screaming fits, i was sick i ended up shouting at him.something i rarely do but i was so frustrated , he's been like this for the past weeks but i just couldn't take his attitude anymore.
Mar don't feel angry at least your enjoying your life now and thats the main thing.
I'm off to see a rheumatologist today, my appointment is at 12pm, so hoping i'll be out of there by 2pm so i can pick ds2 up. I have told him though that if i am not there at 3pm tell your teacher that your mum is at the hospital and he has to go straight to reception.
Depending on what time i leave the hospital i might just come hom and make some quiches and things. Oh and i need to strip the turkey and make pack lunch snacks up.0 -
Morning All!
Nutty - Some people just do not want to be helped, no matter what, so enjoy your holiday! I am a bit of a know-all and like telling other folk how to live their lives (so OH says :rotfl:) but I have come to realise that I am often banging my head against a brick wall, and it's not my fault if they don't want to listen to reason. So frustrating for you that your DD is being as she is about it, but she is all growed now and will go her own way no matter what - hopefully she will learn and come back when she is ready.
Mar - so glad your get up and go has come back - I bet the RV is quaking in his motorcycle boots! I hope the kelp has a similar effect here, but I guess it's quite important to actually take the ruddy things! I will get into the habit one day I guess.
Mint tea can be made with just a big handful of fresh mint and boiling water for those avoiding caffeine, it makes a subtle but delightful drink. Luckily I have loads of mint in the garden, it's my favourite herb.
Good wishes for today Pops, it is quite a comfort in some ways to have ashes back. We still have MiL, and it's fine.
Weather not anything like forecast at the mo - supposed to be raining, but the sun is out!:DThink big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
KEZ pet, that is what is the BEST about this thread, on a day like the one you've had so far (hugs for that!) you still find words of comfort and kindness for Mar, you lot are absolutely amazing, I hope you all know that, good people each and every one of you, THANK YOU, Love Lyn xxx.0

VJsMUM surely you are not advocating a KALE DIET for MAR??? many lovely vitamins and minerals in Kale, it's lovely and green, and chewy, and healthy and they sell it in up market health food shops covered in chocolate (well cocoa nibs!) after it has been freeze dried. Oh what a happy and healthy little bunny MAR will be, she will be so delighted at the prospect I'm certain she will have the right words of thanks for us both, Oh happy day, Cheers Lyn xxx.
LOL. Do you know what tho? i love kale :cool:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
She'll never forgive either of us for saying it but I do too!!! SORRY MAR!!!0

Just a quick update, DD has text me to ask if im home tomorrow or Saturday, but I am working both days. She asked of we are still planning on doing my mums garden, we are on sunday weather permitting. So we may see her then, who knows?? We have made the decision to do my mums garden as she is fed up with it, and the fact that certain people who travel keep knocking and asking if they can trim her trees and bushes up. So we have started but I have a feeling it will be a good few weeks before it is sorted, as it hasn't been sorted properly since my dad passed away in 2011. Well it is something that costs nothing but time, and big amount of patience.....
second load of washing is out, 3rd load is in the machine with another awaiting going in. How come I have so much again???
Take care everyone xBSC member 137

So many people to reply to. I need a notepad for sure!
Monnagran - you're super dooper trendy and it has nothing to do with the tea you supI adored your beer slug story and will be telling eldest tonight. It may go down like a led balloon because she doesn't know beer kills slugs but never mind. She'll either think I'm crackers... or you
Lyn ouch with the thunder. And MEN! I think it's He Who Knows turn to do turn his hand at Docky comforting. I'm sure you did the midnight hour thing last time. But it's your motherly instinct popping on up
Kez it's just stress hun. They were faffing, going to be late and cause allsorts of problems for you re. school run. We all do it, we all snap when we're pushed to the limit. Do not beat yourself up. Your amazing in your parenting. When you talk to me about it I listen and think, 'wow, that kid has her head screwed on!' :rotfl: you're only 3 years younger than me but er, I'm trying my hand at Toughie elder support
savingqueen where are ya? Worried you're hiding because of reminding me to think before I type yesterday. Absolutely no need. xx
fpk It's awful when you don't want to get involved but as others have said if there's concern then maybe for your own conscience make that call? I wonder though if NHS pro's have missed him that they may have already raised concerns. Try not to worry.
Mardatha look, you're getting your full nameIt's the kelp yeah? Well thank the dear clouds for you finding it and forwards on to your new life. Mar, you've missed nowt but housework!
I agree about getting cross about the past - don't it will eat you up and ruin your future. x
Pops be careful wandering around town in the tiny hours. You're braver than me. I dare not walk out after dark in the street of houses but it may be because of where I live  and hear the police helicopter over in the town over the river nightly. I do like the location (river side, ponds) but I'm very nervous being so close to the town. Moving those extra few miles into an area away from inner town madness will help with my nerves I'm sure of that.
Mrs Chip I adore mint in boiling water. I have 2 sprigs growing in the garden that I will infuse after some chores. Thank you for reminding me (by the way, it's meant to 'spread like wildfire' mine isn't just getting gangly)
nutty I'm no stranger to car finance deals myself and I know how much they will be paying each month. Ouch, but their bad. They will learn one way or another - hey nutty, forget it and enjoy the sun!
SNAILS I have problems with snails! I had 5 lettuces, only 5 and they as gone now and I suspect it has something to do with a snail I found in a pot!
Loads to do, including toilet cleaning day with my disinfectant and cream cleaner.0 -
FUDDLE, to deter snails write out the recipe for 'escargots a la garlic butter' and tack it firmly to the side of the container!!!!! If that doesn't scare them off, don your boots girlie and do the Mexican Hat Dance on top of the little perishers!!!! Ooooooohhh Yukkk!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.0

MRSLW that's what I thought, maybe its her way of trying to get back in touch. At the weekend I asked her to speak to her dad on fathers day, mentioning if there was ever a chance that I could speak to my dad I just need to say sorry (got pregnant at 18) and that I loved him (never did say it to each other). She managed a text about 8pm but it never came through until the next day as we have bad reception.
Well I hope we can finally get to see each other and we get to speak. Thank you again for your kind words and advise its been greatly appreciated. xBSC member 137
