Needs to go to a special educational school. They promised me when the boys started that school they could manage his aspbergas but they clearly can't arhhhhhhhhhh.

Also someone has told me I should be claiming dla for him??????

Anyway better go clean the oven...

    Happy sunday peeps xx
I have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar
  • Morning Toughies, hello to all our friends who read along and share our chat, another dull day here but, thank goodness the breeze seems less today, it was difficult to walk into the wind yesterday and quite chilly too.

SQ sorry you're feeling left out by the others in the group, I suspect they haven't the least inkling that you are feeling rejected, I've always found that when people are in a small clique like that they are totally oblivious to the rest of the world, thier world is in the cosy little sphere they've created round them and they feel safe enclosed by it. I wouldn't think it is a deliberate act to exclude you, just oblivion on thier part. I'm much more comfortable taking a book to read with my coffee and staying in my own 'space' but, I'm not a terribly sociable person even on a good day. Don't get me wrong, I like people, but can't stand the silliness most of humanity displays in day to day existence , bad language, bad behaviour, glued to mobile phones while thier kiddies run riot, general rudeness and antisocial behaviour, lack of consideration for others etc.etc.etc. but I like my own company more than I like the company of most of mankind!!!

GQ why do things always happen after you've cleaned and not before??? I think there must be a small God somewhere in charge of things that happen after cleaning, with a very active sense of humour!!!

MAR I envy you your trip round the lovely bits of Edinburgh, I thought the castle and the Museum were incredible when we went for a visit, we even did the circular bus tour and I've promised myself that when we come again I'm getting off for a really good look at the Botanical Gardens. Hope you're not achey from all the walking today.

JEM sorry you're having some problems with the school hope things get sorted out for DSs very quickly.

Have a good day all, Cheers Lyn xxx.

    Morning All

So glad you are feeling more the done thing Mar, you must be so much happier to be able to get out and about!

Kidcat here is the Egg and ham pie recipe -

line muffin tins with ham. Fill with mix of grated cheese with chopped spring onion, break over an egg, season and top with more cheese or a bit of cream. Bake at 180 for 15 mins or until the egg is just done. Leave to get cold for eating on the hoof. Filling can be anything you like plus the egg.

Lazy day today, I'm feeling quite worn out for some reason, so will potter about a bit and catch up on some TV - lots of lovely cooking programs stashed for a rainy day, and today fits the bill!

Have a lovely day all, hugs all round!

ETA - SQ - don't mind them, it's natural (if not nice), they just don't know they are doing it! Some people are very thick-skinned and self centred.

Thank you for the kind offers ginny and ches (hello! :D) and I hope I don't offend by declining? I can't get the hang of cross stitch and I'm annoyed because when I watch eldest do it it looks so easy! Eldest has given me one of her packs to learn on (she has a few little cross stitch packs gifted to her last year) and honestly I need a bit more practice before I attempt fair isle! Thank you so much though, really kind :)

Jem? I find your loved one's school to say that a pregnant lady can't work with a child with aspergers horribly offensive. During both my pregancies I worked with children who were on the Autistic spectrum, had frontal lobe disorder, ADHD and Kleinfelters (with severe ADHD). I coped just fine thank you very much and even I remember chasing one child over the field to prevent him running away when I was 5 months pregnant. (No not great) If I was you I would be fighting for the school to arrange further cover if his one-to-one cannot cope in the hope of finding a member of staff that is much more understanding to what your child needs and therefore avoiding/dealing appropriately with behavioral issues that come up. Your child has the funding for one-to-one, your child's school get the money to pay for your child's one-to-one so they should be doing right by him while he is there. It is not just the case of the school saying they think he needs SEN schooling, but for you all (Ed Psych and any other agencies involved in overseeing your child's education) to get together with reports/facts/wishes and come up with a plan.

I wish you well Jem, it's only EVER about what is right for the child, not the school.

We've had a lovely morning. Weather beautiful (slight breeze). DH has been up since 4.30am fishing on the river near out house. When we woke we took him a father's day bacon sarnie and cup of tea and sat chatting and watching (he's caught nothing though) him fish. Small pleasures but by gum what a nice way to start the day.

He's coming in at 11 and we're off out somewhere free. We don't know where but I'm packing our picnic anyway.

Enjoy the Sunday friends :) x

I've got foxgloves this year - no idea why they have suddenly decided to grow in the garden, I have tried loads of time to get them to grow - once I gave up they just came :rotfl:.

Me too, ive got loads of foxgloves that I definately didnt plant...Beautiful pinks with a splash of cream, and some pure cream ones, the bees absolutely adore them.........................

Im so wore out, hubby only came back from respite last Monday , and by Wednesday id had enough again........Its just so demamding , having to do everything for him, its worse than having 2 babies to look after...............

I may try some kelp like mar its certaintly got her moving.........:)

I have to wait another 3 weeks to get another week, dont know if I will get there , been feeling low, tired isnt the word for it, so many aches and pains that will not leave me whatever meds I take, and stress, I think im going to have to soon make a big decision , because I cant keep going, I never had any thought of just what its like to care for someone 24/7 until I was put in this situation, but ive been doing it for 4.5 years now and its put years on me, what do I do.?.......

Apart from that its a lovely sunny day , and quite warm, ive got so much to do , but its not going to get done today, the summerhouse is beckoning to come out and a kip ..........I may have to give in ..:D.....Hello to all the newbies joining in ...........................Sheila

    :) Morning all.

Well, last night I decided I really must Get a Grip and thus made a To Do list and have been plugging through it before I allowed myself onto the interweb.

Spent just over an hour shortening and hand-hemming a new pair of trousers for SuperGran, whose arthritis is so bag now that she doesn't have the fine control needed for such tasks. I've had these trews on the premises for over a week, procrastinating because I was wacked out every day, so it feels very good to get them finished.

Lordy, but I hate sewing polyester, it's the devil's own textile.:rotfl:

I'm about to cross the Rubicon, as in go shopping for my very first pair of varifocal lenses. Optometrist thinks I've done pretty well to get to this age without needing them before, but I've started to do that old person thingy of having to bring things really close to my face, whilst squinting at the small print and puttering about why they have to put such tiny writing on things these days.

If it all gets too much, I shall take myself into the 99p Store and buy some sweeties. I may well need another glass of the wine after shelling out for new spex. I hear varifocals are expensive.

Ach well, hiding at home won't get me re-windowed so better hit the pavement and see how poor I'm gonna be for the rest of the month.
