Its been a salad day. Funny had salad when out and what did I do not so long ago? Salad Rolls.

Think I'll make tomorrow a fruit day...I have lots and I don't want to waste it.

    Thanks again x

A bit late but Happy Birthday Pops. It sounds as if you had an enjoyable day. You are so good to have considered your friend's pocket when ordering your meal. Too many people take the view that if someone else is paying they will have the most expensive items. I'm glad that you had someone to celebrate with.

Kezlou - friends like that you do not need. Don't waste your time or emotions on them, you deserve better.

Mrs LW. What a bloomin cheek! It's typical that someone who puts themselves out to help another person is the one who gets it in the neck. How much does that woman do for the allotment association I wonder.

    Evening all,

Had a very busy day in London - had it all organised but as usual didn't quite go to plan with my very scatty but lovely friend and her son. They are not used to walking far and the routes I had planned were short ones ie. 10 - 20 mins from one place to the next but her son struggled. Mine were running and bouncing about everywhere all day but DS6 was drooping on the way back to the train station though he will never admit he is tired!

Tomorrow we have all sorts of things planned to do indoors, looking forward to staying home! Home haircuts for my boys (a least favourite task for all concerned!), dance practice for boys' forthcoming first ever dance exam, thankyou notes for DS9 to write as well as stuff like laundry. Other stuff I had a mental list of but forgotten again, will have to do my usual written lists tomorrow. I have been so tired out, I have left the dinner dishes to do tomorrow and just flopped on sofa googling ideas for our summer holiday and other stuff.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPS! Glad you had a nice day with a kind and thoughtful friend. I still have some birthday cake left so have a big slice from us here!

Hugs (((((Kez)))) - don't forget you have us here too and s*d those who are not worthy of your friendship!

Mrs LW - I echo monnagran's thoughts, what a flaming cheek!!

hopefully catch up on other posts tomorrow, sorry I am a bit behind being out all day.

    sq:)

Just found this. The interesting part for me was the bit that says it will cost more to evict and rehouse.....

sorry pops for the late happy birthday wish. I am so glad you have a lovely day out with your friend.

MRS LW, that's so rude of the lady to shout like that. You go give her both gun's. I would make sure next time the association needs some help that she has to do the damh task herself. rudeness is never acceptable ever.

Kezlou, What a nice day you had, well you would have if certain people didn't take the preverbiable out of your good nature. Your sister is right, you can now see who your real friends are.

    Take care everyone x

Morning all - been away for a few days in the 'van. I've been keeping up with the thread but it's always hard to post off my phone.

We really struck gold with the weather - warm sunshine most days. I got sunburned :o - so unlike me to let that happen but I just didn't expect the weather to be so good. DD was at home on her own, except for the day she had friends round to sleep over . Luckily the house isn't too much more trashed than it was when we left - two / three weeks of marking and then going away has left it's toll a little, so this weekend's job is getting the house and garden straight. Fortunately I think the weather is supposed to be nice.

DS (14) decided he didn't want to sit in the car for 5 hours coming home yesterday so asked if he could get the train. OH works for the railways so we get free travel, and with us at one end and DD at the other, we felt it was a good way to get him used to travelling independently. He arrived home before we left Devon!

We made good use of our National Trust membership, visiting three properties - all very different and very lovely and that, combined with walking, meant we didn't spend loads on activities.

I am a bit miffed that I couldn't get yesterday's mirror tho- so i've missed out on the Ald! voucher, but you can't have it all. Have a good day all - a couple of weeks of nice weather are predicted so make the most!! :)

    Morning All,
Good to see you hit lucky with your short break away. I've woke to a blue sky and sunshine...should get up and out early to hit the day of promotional event in Stockton about healthy living I'll have another hour, I can see most of it even if I go later. Just have to get dressed...

A few minutes to make some food to take in the rucksack so an easy job...

Had breakfast already Vanilla yogurt, blackberries, cherries, banana, strawberries and sprinkling of a fibre mixture(forgot the blueberries...)

Hope everyone has a good day...

    morning all,

Have a good day pops - I will be checking at 8.52 to see if you are still logged on here! ha ha

I am having a very lazy start to the day - Put the binbags out in PJS and dressing gown which I never do and I have just had a slice of birthday cake for breakfast!! I couldn't be bothered to make toast. I really should make a much smaller one next celebration time but I think I've started some sort of family tradition!

ok best make a start on things, back later to catch up on posts when I've ticked a few things off my list

Mrs LW, so sorry He Who Knows was spoken to like that. Some people eh?

Kez, glad you had a good day despite some of your 'friends' and their behaviour.

Pops, belated Happy Birthday, glad you enjoyed it.

A bit of welcome sunshine here today. Hope to get to the lottie later to check on the Bramley Apple we put in on Monday. Nice tree at half price in the garden centre plus money off vouchers I had. Haven't been down since we planted it due to three days of non stop rain :( plus my car has been in garage since Tuesday for minor repair on door which was whipped out of my hand in the gales a few weeks back. Was supposed to get it back yesterday but they still have to finish blending the paint!

Will be a day of sorting out today, dd16 is in the mood for a clear out in between bouts of revision so hope to get lots out of the attic and divide between bin/CS/ poss car boot.

Has anyone ever been elderflower picking? Saw an ad in the local paper last night offering cash for freshly picked elderflowers, a local drinks company makes cordials etc. thought I could send the girls out for some fresh air and a break from revision if the weather perks up, but I imagine they'd have to pick a fair amount to earn some money.
