Sorry been busy and struggling to keep up.
Re washing machine - yes GQ I've tried it!
Out today for the RV to test drive a Triumph Bonnie...sooo excited. The last time we had one, I was 18 and we had to sell it because I fell pregnant. I was not happy  So it's nice to come full circle at the age of 63. We've had Yamahas & Suzukis in between, but it feels like coming home to be back on a Triumph. :j:j
And, naturally, it's pelting with rain.0 -
Oh WOW Mardy - brilliant. My DH is a motorcycle nut too but he's now got a Honda trike (its not the Honda made one - its called Frankenstein 'cos its made up from allsorts but a Honda engine) We're doing a big motorcycle event on Sunday with the local club - I'm taking the dosh on the door for a stint. I've not been involved in the biker world until a few years ago and I've met some really great people. Just wrap up & ENJOYSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Byatt I don't suppose that Shakespeare is up by me is it. The RSC quite often do £10 tickets.
No, nothing as grand as the RSC, it's a professional but small company called the tobaccofactorytheatre.com based in Bristol, and they are touring with this production. The theatre I will go to is on a uni campus and sometimes has biggish names, but mostly independent.
I have decided to go, I have a bubble of excitement at the thought and as those moments are rare, I will take advantage of them.0 -
WOW MAR envy felt to the extreme degree!!!!! He Who Knows doesn't have a biker background but had a quarter share in a rally car and navigated for the driver, but a friend way back had a Honda Gold Wing which was an amazing experience to ride. We lost lots of friends in accidents way back when, but it still hasn't made me stop that breath take when a nice machine goes past, Oh to be 18 again eh? Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Have fun Byatt.
And you too Mar!
Brrr, it's so cold here I've actually had to shove the heating on, had hoped that would be off till November now. And grr, the car is going wrong and looking it up, it's a common fault and needs a part coded to our individual engine which costs about £3K, so that's not going to happen. Fingers crossed DH still has a job when his 12 month contract is up, eh?!0 -
Morning All,
If that car fault is a common design problem it seems all wrong that the purchaser has to find the money for the repair...no doubt there will be some legal speak to cover them.
New morning and its pelting with rain and I feel more positive just sorry whats happened did and still feel harshly done by. Think all will be in order or much better by next week and their visit.
Even happier that my friend mcculloch who I got to know thanks to here is willing to be there for their return visit so I have a witness and if I decide to complain will help me write my letter of complaint, that's a true friend.
Two other friends I have made through her are also offering support and help too and as said yesterday another neighbour from half a street away is also offering support too. Morning all, been a busy few days, lots of up and downs. Decided to run away to my friends house for a break with ds2.
Its freezing outside, went to get milk and it. Was baltic. Taking ds2 for his xray today, fingers crossed his arm has started to heal. If it has roll on tomorrow and the little fella can go back to school. Oops better run just realised its half ten.0 -
