    27col Thanks for your input.

My wife and I are both under the opinion that we will have all the "fogged" panes replaced, because we would not feel comfortable selling our property "knowing" that the DC has issues, even though the previous owner must have known, thats life I suppose.

In the end we will feel more comfortable.

    Kind regards
    Bob

But then you posted a comment that was pointless and was open to being misread, that's why the op commented back.

I'm sure the "fogged" reference was to denote this was his description of the issue, but possibly not the correct "technical" description.

    Oooops, I'm at it now:D;);)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Replacing double glazed panes DIY is shockingly cheap. Today I replaced an obscure panel and a white solid panel in my back door with two new plain glass units - cost was just under £41 for the pair (toughened glass) from a local firm that manufactures them. Its well worth measuring up and shopping around - the job itself is very easy.

ic Many thanks for your input.

It is most refreshing to hear of your experience and success. I had imagined the horrors of having to replace everything and not being able to purchase DC from anyone otherthan the big companies.

This is the beauty of these Forums where experiences of others are shared and I have been given a vast amount of info of which I am grateful.

When the old quote of life being three score and ten, that for me is in the distant past now and sometimes we may not grasp things as quickly and ramble on.

Your comments have given me more food for thought.

    Kind regards
    Bob

The penny has just dropped that sniggings was referring to my "" "" but I was merely being grateful for the comments that were posted by 27col

Another point to consider is that a prospective buyer, when viewing the "fogged" panes, might come to the conclusion that other maintenance in the house has not been done either.

When I was at school in the late 1940s my English certainly was not my best subject but if it has given sniggings a little amusement then so be it. :)

Your fingers must be like vices if the penny has just dropped, as you have been holding onto that penny for 2 days, as you thanked cyclonebri1's post 2 days ago ;)

no harm meant, as my English is not great, it just made me wonder why you needed to put those to words in quotes.
