Should we make the green tick work the same as the red cross?

I like the green tick to be within the thread, as I'm not going to know if I'm going to enter the comp until I've read the thread.
I really don't like the red tick where it is currently - it should have stayed within the thread - I find it quite irritating for my eyes.I am Doll Parts

I think it would be good if the green tick works like the red tick as I often click entered then find it wasnt what i expected or it expired,so then have to reopen the thread to unenter.May only save a minute or two but every minute counts when you dont have much time due to family life!!!lolthanks to all posters for comps and answers!!! good luck to all0

I think it would be good if the green tick worked the same way as the red x.
If people prefer to go into the thread, that is fine, but it would save me from going into a thread to mark any that I have entered directly from twitter or from a website.
The only disadvantage that I can see is that the thanks button might not get used so much (unless this were automatic as weeowens has suggested), but on the whole, I don't think most posters post because they hope to get thanked.
If we could filter out comps marked with either a cross or a tick, this would be brilliant.
The suggestion for an amber button is also a great idea. At the moment, I use both the green tick and the red x for this purpose, for example the times competition that I have entered, but want to enter again.
Thanks for all your efforts in improving the boards for us.0 -
keep the green tick as it is

Leave it as it is, but please, please, please could we have a button to hide all Facebook and/or Twitter-based comps? I will not enter these on principle and they do clutter up the screen for me!0

I have definitely found a great use for the cross now!

Confused of MSE here. Where has your red cross gone? Mine is still there. It's on the main index page left of the date, but quite faint. It's also on each comp thread that you open, next to the green tick. HTH

Hi
Was wondering if anyone can help when I'm in a post I don't get a green tick with entered next to it. I have a green tick but when I use it I have to actually go into the post to see I have used it I can't see from the list off comps which I have entered.
Was wondering if it is because I am on an ipad????

I would like the tick to be the same - many a times I have had to go back and check numerous posts to "tick" them, especially when the boards are down (As I tend to open as many tabs as needed with the comp pages on)
Would save me alot of time
Thanks to all posters :A0
