Should we make the green tick work the same as the red cross?

I love the new red cross and green tick. I would also like a lol button for when I appreciate something funny someone has said!

Love the green tick - no changes needed IMHO.

If the red cross is the Skipped icon, I don't need it at all, as I sort the comps by Thread Start time, so completely unaffected by people bumping the threads as I just keep a note every time I comp about how far I've got, then start at that point next time.
Simples !

Personally I'd like the tick to be clickable without needing to go into the post just because I often go through my Twitter/Facebook feeds without using the links on here, so it would be quicker for me to mark them as done.

Either's good though

I agree with Dave, especially the suggestion of the amber button. I don't think it needs to be reset though as this would mean you wouldn't have it marked to remind you to re-enter it. I also like the idea of being able to filter out posts you have marked with ticks or crosses, or maybe even be able to select only those that you have ticked, for example.

Are we asking too much here? Have the floodgates opened to all sorts of unattainable requests?

Green tick to stay where it is and I'm also loving the red x but would it be possible to darken the subscribed icon?
When scanning the thread it's now difficult to see and distinguish between the unselected red x and threads that I'm subscribed to.

Thanks to all the MSE tech team who are making the changes, you are doing a great job

I know this must sound dense, but what do the ticks do? I've never used them, though it sounds as if they could be handy if I could work them out.

Yes! I've lost count how many times I've forgotten to tick and had to go back into the post just to click it. Bringing it out with the red X would be welcome
