Should we make the green tick work the same as the red cross?

If you click the green tick it shows up on the title in the main list, that way you can easily keep track of what you have entered just by glancing. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

The green tick on the first post of a comp thread can be used to show that you've entered the competition. Once ticked it shows on the main board so that you don't open the same comp again
Sorry zenseeker I didn't refresh before posting doh!A strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0 -

Thank you, that sounds really useful. So I guess the red tick is for marking comps that you don't want to enter?0 -

Exactly
Although I'm struggling to see why the red x is useful...if I don't want to enter a comp it just remains unticked
I can tell from the comp title whether I'm going to want to enter it or not, and if I do...well I do and tick it We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

Sometimes I open a comp and find its a blog or rafflecopter or even a bit more effort needed so I x it and then I don't wander into it again unnecessarily.
I don't use the green tick though as I like to know how many comps I've entered and subscribing helps me keep updated with numbersA strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0 -
I am really loving the red x boxes. It is making comping a lot easier and a bit less time consuming. Good work guys!0

Yes. Especially as I quite often find comps I *know* I have entered but somehow they are no-longer ticked. It would be nice to be able to easily re-tick them.0

I like the new red tick but it sometimes disappears after I have done a comp on another site. Should this happen?0

I'm loving the changes you're doing for us, thank you loads for making our forum so spiffy.
I probably have a slight preference for having the green tick accessible from the main page, as with the red cross, but it's not that big a deal. The main reason I would like it that way is that I would then get used to clicking the green tick after entering each comp once I went back to the index page. This means that the index would always be accurate for my entries, without having to refresh the page. But as I say, I won't fight anyone about this
Edit: And I've thought of another advantage, because it happened with this thread just now. I'm reading page 4 of the thread. To tick entered, I've got to go back to page one. But if the green tick was on the index...well nuff said
