Thanks for the lovely warm welcome :hello:

I'm putting a couple of wants on my Christmas list for DH. I'm running low on perfume so it'll be a bottle of Givenchy Very Irrestistable please and I'm keen to try Decleor Aroma Sun Expert - its a moisturiser ( I Know!) but its SPF 30.
DGD is a hairdresser (lucky me) so I don't have to do my own roots now. I've used lots of different products in the past as my hair has been coloured for the last 50 years!
The local Friday market here has a guy who runs a cosmetic stall & he's always good for Revlon nail varnishes which really seem to last well - but I try to walk past very quickly :rotfl:

a fairly rare TA - Baylis & Harding Waterlily hand & body lotion - got to admit I've never used this but I noticed it was starting to look an odd colour when it should be white, checked the bottle and it had a best before date of Dec 2009 :o To be honest, I'd probably still try and use it but its a very overpowering scent, probably intensified by age, so in the bin it went! I'm hardly short of body lotion in any case.....

I've never seen a best before date on any of my products - although I am short sighted :D I thought they only started going 'off' once they were opened?

I always seem to get hand and body lotion left from the sets that come with hand wash. I have all these good intentions of using hand cream every time I wash my hands but it just doesn't happen.

I have made up some Christmas shoeboxes that I've taken into my local charity shop who will give them out to needy families/people at Christmas time. I've put in some toiletries and small gifts into the boxes. :)

there's boxes in work for food/toiletry hampers for needy families. I put a Boots Fresh! Banana Bonanza Bath Crystals 50g and Dove Hair Therapy Colour Radiance Conditioner 50ml in there today. The bath crystals were part of a gift set from colleagues ages ago so hope they don't notice :o The conditioner was a magazine freebie and I normally only use volumising conditioners so would never have used it.

I've got a few other items to put in there but I'm taking them in one or two at a time. I have been taking my breakfast and lunch in so can't take too much other stuff in at the same time. Will have to watch I don't get mixed up and put my breakfast and lunch in the box and try to eat my toiletries - I want to reduce my stash but there are limits :rotfl:

  • I have some give aways

small tube of L'occtaine handcreme Fleur Cherie. I found it a bit overwhelming but a co-worker loved it. So she's got it in her handbag.

3 samples of BB creme, two samples of eyetreatment, a sample anti-aging stuff all went in the mail to a friend in the States who doesn't live close to a shopping centre to try stuff out.

But you know what they say? No good deed goes unpunished? Well when I got home there was a BB cream sample and a $4 off coupon in the mailbox!

I also tossed a lipstick that just is too orange. Got it in a beauty box. It was one of those two sets, the lipstick and gloss in a tower that are supposed to match. Well I loathe those combo towers. Luckily this one you could toss eitherthe lipstick and keep the gloss. But it may go as well there seems to be a sweet grape smell and I'm not sure if it's the gloss or the gloss/lippi combination.

I hope you lot are all safe and dry. It's still cold but warm enough to snow here. I am counting the hours 'till Friday. Vegas here I come.

Thanks for letting me off the plum mascara! Not sure about the LG - haven't been getting on too well with the B&B - even the fair now seems to make me go a bit orange. I have got a porcelain one so might give that a try in advance of the TSV to see how it goes. I do like the application as it is quick and easy so fab for the weekend - just the colour is sometimes not quite right for me. I have had some great 'fair' pans but I suppose it depends on the colour mix. I resisted the last LG TSV so if this looks good and the price is reasonable I might treat myself for Christmas. .

I only have one pan of BnB in my stash now which is Porcelain. I bought it in a TSV for Emma who decided to tell me after the 30day MBG period that she didn't like it as it is too shiny. It's ok if I wear it over a base so I'll bear with this until I need some more. Don't really need any more blushers etc and if I do want any of the separate parts I'll look on the bay.
I have £96 of points on my Advantage Card...

Have had a lovely relaxing day today. Used a face mask and hair mask and exfoliated and moisturised every inch of my body! Painted my nails this evening with Nails Inc 'The Serpentine' because I wear a lot of navy to work and fancied being a bit matchy this week. Have painted accent nails with the new Rimmel Precious Stones grey polish, not that impressed with it to be honest! Might feel a bit different when I do an entire mani with it!

I think I'm going to give up on blue nail polish. I love the look on other people but maybe it's my skin tone that makes it look meh on me. Plus it always stains my nails badly.

I'll bear the Avene cream in mind for when I 'allow' myself to buy something, been good so far this month and don't want to spoil it!

I've had an email from Escentual with an offer on Avene. The email was about dark spot treatment but it looks like the whole range has 10% off. Might be worth a look.

Morning all. Grey and miserable morning here. I am mega busy today, working, packing up ebay parcels, baking bread and savoury muffins and doing a batch of homemade soup.

Am very jealous of the people with the big advantage points collection, I think I have about £15.

I resisted the L'occ QVC but really wanted the Almond shower gel but thought would my life be any different if I used my Dr Bronners almond shower gel instead - probably not.

    Have some ins from yesterday

Too Faced Matte Pallette - I have wanted this for ages and now I have it, have used the day colours today and they blend super smoothly for matte shadows.

Maybelline Gel eyeliner - had a quick dabble last night and the little brush that comes with it is great.

    Natural collection - Rosebud lipstick.

    Also have a uu

nSPA gingerbread latte bath syrup - was quite nice but not very strong, I would use it again but wouldn't go out of my way to get hold of it.

VALM - amazon were selling Benefit erase paste for £13 ish with free delivery, not sure if it is still that price as they seem to change regularly but quite a good saving if it is.

Thanks for this dolly84. I think I need to stock up on Lemon Aid first really. Was miffed that I missed out on it in the flash sale last week and my feeling then was that the items in that sale were likely to be discontinued so will try and get hold of some soon(ish).

I don't think even the Q would dare try and described L'occitane Almond shower gel as life changing! lol. You're not missing out on that much. It's nice but not that nice IYKWIM. Now, Philosophy Pumpkin Pie on the other hand ...... I think I would sell my home and all my possessions for xx

I ended up giving the Maybelline gel eyeliner to Emma as every time I wore it no matter what base I put on my eyelids it wandered and I mean wandered. Some days I was wearing it in the crease of my lids after blinking.

Have now caught up with you all and have another UU to declare. Not very exciting by way of product type or product : ASDA deodorant. Shockingly awful stuff. Stayed wet for ages. Did the job though I suppose.

Have repainted my nails. After reading someone's post about accent nails thought I'd do this again (I take it this is the same as the ring finger manicure?). Am wearing OPI Germanicure by OPI and OPI Sanguine (ring fingers). Only a very subtle difference between the two. x
