No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in November

I have finally UU a Superdrug dry shampoo for brown hair. This was absolutely awful and I'm not sure why I kept using it , it made my hair wet and even greasier. WNEEBA. I did like their Away with the Fairies though and I have another flavour waiting to try. I knew I shouldn't have cheated on my Batiste!0

Hi all - just found this thread, what a super idea! I know I'm really too late for the November challenge but can I stay for December please?
My only claim this month was to put 2 or 3 almost used moisturisers (my weakness) in a pump bottle with a good shake to use daily to finish them up.
I'm on a limited income so I do tend to go for supermarket products (Aldi) but if I know a product really works for me I will splash out. My absolute Must Have is OPI Start to Finish - its the only one that will withstand gardening & washing!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Been a bit awol again this month, things on the toiletries front have been very slow compared to October. Not expecting any more INs or UUs this month so will back in December!
UU:
Revlon equave Hair mask - really like this. Have had it for 3 years , but never needed much of it which is why it lasted. A really nice smelling hair mask I got from my local Sally that made my hair very soft. WBA but have plenty of conditioners to get through first.
St Ives Apricot Scrub - the small travel size bottle. Another product I've had for 3 years! I know a lot of people here are fond of this stuff, it smells nice and doesn't dry my skin out as much as other facial scrubs, but I'm not convinced it's scrubby enough for my spotty skin, especially my blackhead infested nose. Have a larger bottle still so will persevere.
And two shameful INs courtesy of Amazon's black friday week:
Macademia healing oil hair treatment - heard good things about this but not tried yet!
Gwen Stefani LAMB perfume 50ml - a really gorgeous smell!
The guys in the thread persuaded me with both purchases and that they were 'necessary toiletries'
And hello to silvasava, come on in!"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

Welcome  its a very friendly thread and an addictive, if not always easy, challenge!
Stressful day today, although not as bad as for some people around here, usual route to work was a no go this morning due to flooding and more and more roads got closed throughout the day. One of the girls at work lives by the river and her house is completely floodedSo awful. Its an unbelievable sight, where there should be a river there's just an absolute mass of water stretching for fields and fields. I've never seen anything like it! Home safe now and grateful for living high up on a hill!
Two outs for me - a fairly rare TA - Baylis & Harding Waterlily hand & body lotion - got to admit I've never used this but I noticed it was starting to look an odd colour when it should be white, checked the bottle and it had a best before date of Dec 2009To be honest, I'd probably still try and use it but its a very overpowering scent, probably intensified by age, so in the bin it went! I'm hardly short of body lotion in any case.....
UU - NSpa Renew Body Lotion - WBA - really liked this, was part of a set I got as a gift for my birthday - lovely smell and nice thick consistency considering its was in a tube, sank in really well. Very impressed with this and the bath soak that also came in the set - they really do smell like professional spa products, the only gripe I had was with the body scrub as it just wasn't scrubby enough for my liking. If all body lotion was as pleasant to use as this I doubt I'd have such a big stash of the stuff! Will definitely buy more NSpa products in the future.0 -
I have an OUT :j - Superdrug's own brand spa shower gel, bought last summer when I think it was reduced to about 19p so WBA
otherwise probably not as have many shower gels in the stash!
Packing tonight as hedaing away at the end of the week to the Canaries, hope the weather is good.
Been a glorious day here and I hope everyone is ok with the awful weather tha's been hitting the country.Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
2 more outs-i'm on a roll this month!
Johnsons lavender baby powder- WBA (if i could find it!) It's lovely!
Aldi deodrant WBA.0 -
Welcome SilvaSava! You sound very similar to me
I don't spend a lot on products and I'm not into the designer names unless the item is really exceptional.

TA clinique black diamond eyeliner, I could not get this to sharpen, every time I tried I ended up with a very long exposed (and blunt!!) lead which broke when I tried to use it. Life's too short so in the bin it went.
came across the following article about how long a perfume collection lasts :
http://www.nstperfume.com/2008/08/19/perfume-for-life-how-long-will-your-fragrance-collection-last/
After a rough calculation I have enough to keep me going for the next 24 years :eek::eek:
happy pampering, xo
I have no idea what mine would be. But it would be a very scary number.Hi all - just found this thread, what a super idea! I know I'm really too late for the November challenge but can I stay for December please?
