How many GBs

Options
how many GBs on average would you use in a month, emailing, sometimes watch sky go on the laptop, don't download films general surfing that's all, would 10 cover it?

    10 would cover email and a bit of surfing. As soon as you add in any video streaming all bets are off unless you really do strictly limit it. You'd need to monitor usage carefully to avoid over use charges.
  • Depends how much you watch sky go. If only sometimes then you should find 10gb is plenty!

    Allow 1-2 GB for general emails, forums, photos and browsing, and 1GB per hour of steamed or downloaded video at decent quality (2Mbps) or 2 hours of poor quality. Regular BBC iPlayer is 1.5Mbps at standard definition and 3.2 for HD, so you might get 1 hour and 20 mins normal, or 35 mins of HD for a GB

    You don't have to 'download'; since you are streaming Sky then you will be using quite a lot of data.
    What is measured is total data usage, both up ad down.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
