If any of the original responders are still following this thread, you might like to know that we reduced our price, got more viewers, and are looking forward to a sale. Will post more details when all is fully confirmed.
Meanwhile, thanks for all the support.

    Oh that is good news!

We took ours off the market as we have bought a house that needs a lot of work and decided to keep this one while we did the work. Will put it back on the market in a couple of months and hope that we get some joy!

Like an earlier poster, I’d be very interested to know of other HN customers’ experience of their conveyancing service.

I hope there’s someone who can help with this!

I'd be interested to know, since there's a few comments here that say people's initial experience of HN is good.....

How many have actually achieved a SALE through HN?

I have. I got viewers all week long. Converted to sale after day 3. It was some time ago but the quality of th epictures I think did it.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

How long ago would that be?

Any recent sales (say in 2009/10) by any others?

We have had many offers through HN. We accepted one - but the timescale was off so we pulled out and have not put our house back on the market yet as we wanted to stay put for a few months.

We used them to do the conveyancing on our purchase and will use them on the sale as and when it happens.

We have been extremely happy with the service that they provided. Would certainly recommend them to friends and family!

Fingers crossed, we have. I will post details once I am 100% sure! Due to complete early May - but don't want to tempt fate.

We've been on the market with HN for 5 weeks. Had 5 viewing requests and 5 cancellations. Nothing seems to be selling in our area, but one concern is that the lack of a local EA is limiting our exposure.

I've also found HN lacking in communication and pretty useless in getting feedback from our prospective "viewers".

We've taken some new pictures, dropped our price and totally rewrote the description to try and attract a buyer but did this all ourselves with no input from HN.

Thanks very much SheppyD, for your feedback on that!

Firstly, 5 weeks is not a very long time in this market, and for the low fee that HN charge I feel you have to expect a rather different level of service versus the High Street.

If your property is unusual in that it suits a certain category of buyer (who may not be au fait with the interweb and Rightmove) then perhaps HN are not going to be the best choice. You say: Nothing seems to be selling in our area, so that would tend to indicate that the problem isn’t with HN?

From reading this forum it’s abundantly clear that when a seller is signed up with High Street agent A, versus High Street agent B, they too ‘worry’ about their exposure.

We’ve had plenty of viewings in this slow market and have no problem with HN’s way of handling things. When they call with a viewing request we ask two things about the viewer and always get the answers instantly with no problem as they keep the caller on the other line.

I’ve had access to our HN account manager when I’ve wanted it and discussed matters, but I’ve also tweaked things with no input from HN, which suits me fine.

I don’t understand your statement: getting feedback from our prospective "viewers". If they’re ‘prospective’ how can there be feedback?

The prospective viewers are the 5 cancellations. Feedback on why they cancelled?
