Andy: The low rating won't get you suspended in itself but the 4.38 score would have worried me a long time ago. That's not just one buyer - most people are unhappy with your postage, so you need to rethink what you are charging for and why.

The item description star is also bad - I'd think twice about buying with a score like that, I wouldn't be able to trust what I saw on your listings was what I would get. Most people, even those slipping on other scores, manage to keep it at about 4.9.

I think you need to stop worrying about the person who 'slated' you and start concentrating on why he left a low and what you can do to improve your buyers' opinion of you in general.

Andy.m Crowqueen makes a good point, I would also almost certainly not buy from a seller with your stars. I would see it as meaning you are poor in all the assessed areas and frankly I can do without the hassle.

blimey charlie, thanks for the feedback.
I just sold half a dozen items with free PnP so that might help somewhat.

As long as you can get them out immediately as you need to bring up that despatch star as well.

You are in a position where you can really turn this round with a bit of effort , get stuff listed, go free postage , comply with the requirements for automatic 5* for communication , despatch same or next day and this can be sorted.

Thinking aloud, I got all 1 stars on a neg, but the resolution centre sided with me fully, will that have impacted on my score?

No, it will all have been removed. Do follow the steps though to see your trending data and run some reports to see how bad things are.

So, expecting things faster - I can set up a 'get it faster' next day delivery option and charge, say, £2 for it. Does not say I have to send by Special Delivery or will 1st class postage do??

Then the customer is not going to expect it faster, are they??

As I say, I do not care either way to be honest, if they suspend my account they suspend my account. They can stick their bully-boy tactics where the sun does not shine quite frankly. What they want is me to sell more to make them more money. They do get commission on everything you sell you know, all of these 'extra sales' for 'extra stars' mean they get more commission. It seems acceptable to moan about banks screwing you over but not eBay.

The sad thing is, many of you do not even realise you are being bullied by this company in this way. Here I am being told I am in 'serious trouble' because 4 people out of the 600 transactions I have done this year have decided that I did not post out fast enough, over 2/3 of them could not even be bothered to leave feedback!!

Have to admit that recently a group of us have started swapping things like kids clothes, toys and books between us recently and it means I have not had to use eBay so much for selling. Works for us and saves the time in listing etc.... If I have been given 10 items of clothing it means the 10 items I would usually have sold to buy others, is now being given away to someone else. As I say, not really that bothered to be honest, if they close my account they close my account. I am off into town tomorrow to see how much they'll give me for 400 items I wanted to sell in one lot. Even if I get 50p an item I'll make double what I would have put them on eBay for - and it'll be a lot less hassle too. Whether they take them in one go though is another question, there are a lot of items there!!

Get It Fast, or whatever the current slogan is, I think from memory you need to have one day (or same day) dispatch with a guaranteed next day delivery service. First class isn't guaranteed. They are looking at SD, RMTND or courier with 24 hour delivery.

I appreciate you say you don't care, but you have posted rather a lot this morning for someone who doesn't care.

It may just be easier to try and get back to diluting those bad stars.

The 'current slogan' is 'Fast and Free'.

    Opened cases 0.00% (0)
Closed cases without seller resolution 0.00% (0)

I know the one low rating came from someone around all the easter bank holidays so it took a while for her item to arrive and despite posting next day after payment she marked me down for slow delivery.
After I got that low one I couldnt seem to sell anything but have had a steady flow recently so hope it keeps going and that rating drops off :)

You should be proud of that expanded dashboard, and it goes to show that it can be done.

Yes, keep it up, Jen :).

eBay allow for 1 or 2 low scores, but you have done the sensible thing and not let it get to you or spoil it for other buyers. 3 or more and you need to take note of what is happening; one low score would make me worry because I'd want to know what went wrong so I could put things right or not let it happen again.

As long as you know what might well have gone wrong and are satisfied that you did all you could to keep the person happy in the first instance that's fine.
