  • OK, went to my ebay, accounts tab and nothing about dashboard on page. I'm obviously looking in the wrong place but Help.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

It should be there unless you haven't received 10 lots of ratings yet.

I go to it by going to my own feedback rating and then on the right it says....view your seller dashboard.
  • Ah, it seems I have not had enough seller ratings despite a 274/100% feedback. I'll keep a watch in future though.

Oh well, life is way too short, if I get suspended, I get suspended. I have a life and sometimes, I have other stuff to do than sit and stare at eBay listings, I won't be crying over it, was just making a point really.

Some business are run from eBay so yes, their income is affected - and if they are a company this could possibly result in lost jobs too.

I do not live near the PO am neither paying £1 to drive to the PO or walking there and back in 2 hours, just to post just one item each day to keep some flaming stars up - and I am not allowed to charge for that petrol either. Just think yourselves lucky you live either near a Post Office or that you all have decent sized postboxes nearby as not all of us do. This is why I list in bulk.

Note to self. Do not use MSE while you have PMT, go clean the house. I am off to do some hoovering.

Oh, and one last thing. I think it should be eBay that does the stars judging on your listing and the time it takes you to process orders through the screen - not the customer. It would be easy enough for them to mark by the fact you click a button, by allowing the customer to do it as it is open to abuse.

    Time to clean!!

It's ratings as a seller and not every buyer leaves them.

  • Out of interest I wonder if as the above poster you are getting a few low stars and are worried about 'the email' coming. What would happen if you closed your account as i believe there is the option to do so.
Waited a few months then reopened a new one if you would avoid the ban/suspension.

My accounts are fine luckily enough but i just wonder if by checking the seller dashboard you can jump before the push!

Soos post was to help those that don't see/understand the dashboard and want to stay on ebay. Suspensions for accounts generally mean ALL those in the same household are suspended. If you fail to address the issues ebay are asking you to, you get suspended or banned, sometimes it is harder to come back from that than to sort out an issue at the time. In your case it would be very easy to sort it out, but only if you wanted to. Clearly you don't. But some people don't realise the repercussions of being banned. If they can sort it out easily, it usually is the best option.

Ebay aren't the customer. Your buyer is. So it is their opinion that counts. You can't please everyone, but in this day and age people do want their goods quickly. After all, the seller has their money.
  • After all, the seller has their money.

I must remember that next time I order from Amazon with free delivery, I wonder what CS will say when I inform them they have the money and I'm not happy to pay extra for faster dispatch?

Bottom line is eBay is a bubble where the if the buyers unknown expectations aren't met then you face being restricted. As a smaller seller it only takes 3 in a whole year to be at risk and unless you increase to 400 sales in 3 months the fourth pushes you below standard. The result is smaller sellers die off, choice is limited, prices go up and eBay's uniqueness slowly disappears, but as long as everyone is getting their orders quickly....

    I don't get your point.
  • My point is saying "the seller has the money" hasn't really got anything to do with how quickly they post the order, at least it doesn't anywhere else.
