Hi, this was I wanted to know, I have an epson and am happy with it but would love wireless printing for my laptop. Is it as good quality printing as the epson, is the ink dry immediately, I had a lexmark printing where the ink would smudge all the time.

Had one since the last offer they had...brilliant machine and cheap compatible inks from inkinkink.net
  • Thanks to the OP. Managed to pick one up in Norwich. They have loads in stock both there and in Yarmouth.

Anyone know if it's possible to connect it via usb to my main PC and wirelessly to a laptop and two other PCs? Currently got it connected via usb to my main PC, but haven't attempted to connect it wirelessly to the others yet. I want it connecting wirelessly and via usb at the same time. The scan quality's great, by the way!

I have one of these wired to two desktops in my study, and I use it wirelessly to my laptop too. No problems. Use Inkinkink.net for cartridges and you wont be disappointed. Compatibles cost £9.98 FOR 4 (ANY MIX OF COLOURS) WITH FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY.

I can get this to work wirelessly with my daughter's computer but for the life of me will not work wirelessly from my computer, all I keep getting is an error message 'printer driver cannot communicate with the machine', going to try and get it working from my laptop and see how that goes

I'm glad most people have manage to get one. Mine is still in its box, hopefully I will get it set up over the weekend.

Well done to those who managed to use the £10 voucher as well, it makes it a real bargain.

    Hmm. One review says…
    I'm surprised by that …
I’m not. Firstly, they’re considering it at a price of £102.40. What it’s not is a printer for printing large documents. To get a good quality, you have to set the quality setting to “fine”, and that makes it slow. Also, it’s not a photo printer. The quality just isn’t good enough to compete with the alternatives. What it is is a great home office printer. With offers like in this thread, the printer itself is cheap. As has already been pointed out, you can get very cheap compatible ink cartridges. If you want to print a handful of letters and webpages a day, the speed is fine. You can connect to the printer and scanner wirelessly, which can be a huge convenience. It does quite a good job as a photocopier. It copies too fast for the quality setting to be the equivalent of “fine”, but the copies are surprisingly good nevertheless. For photos, you always get better quality and cheaper prints by sending your photos to one of the cheap photo print companies. And, as for moaning about cleaning cycles: you’re not supposed to switch the printer off completely at the mains. If you do that, it won’t know how long it’s been since it last cleaned, and it will keep wasting time and ink on re-doing it.

Thanks for that - I've found InkEmporium is cheaper for compatibles - £6.98 inclusive (VAT and P&P) for a set of 4 carts.

(Plus InkEmporium is only in Gorleston! ;) )
