Best budget Android phone?

I bought this cover (have found you don't need the stylus, which is detachable). It's NOT purple, but royal blue. It is plastic (don't know how all these things can be described as PU 'Leather'!). Little duster and the unnecessary plastic screen cover are included. Cost £3.90.

I do like it, however, it feels good and solid and slightly padded, that if the phone were dropped, it would be just fine.

Glad I bought it.

I've just bought and fallen in love with a Chinese copy of Samsung Note. £122 plus postage from China. Massive screen, dual SIM, 3G on main SIM and it runs 4.1.1 Jellybean.
It's no frills, but works really well.

Agreed. Amazing spec for the price (approx £120 on PAYG).

I've just gone with a Samsung S3 Mini. The prices are now down to £144 new, which seems good value for what they are.

I've just traded in a Galaxy mini3 via Asda and got £98 for it. I did like the phone but taking the opportunity of a phone through work.

One to watch in the near future would be the Samsung Ace 3 LTE GT-S7275. It's got 4G, mid size, JB 4.2.2. It's missing 1080p and only 480 x 800 pixel screen but that makes it easier to read IMO. Starting at around £200 but should drop as Tesco etc will be selling them.
