Talking of cases we all have this one and it's great (most in different colours lol). Don't be put off by the low price, it's very good quality. This phone is pretty slippery and this case stops that. Don't bother with screen protectors, the Gorilla Glass means you don't need one and they affect sensitivity of the screen.

PS Emy1501, we have 8 or 9 of these in our family/friends circle and not one has mentioned blobs on the screen so maybe it was a faulty batch as you suggested?

I agree, only mentioned to make OP aware. Also there has been a suggestion of a problem with blobs on the screen on some of these. Not sure is its an isolated batch or not.

In view of above not sure of Very's return policy etc.

I have a £20 genuine voucher code for Very and am tempted by the phone but Very's reputation and alleged potential problems with phone are putting me off.

Well if you look hard enough there are if's and but's about just about anything really (even a £700 iphone) and many of them are an awful lot more expensive so you pays your money and you takes your chances as they say.

Its about expectations, at £70 I am not expecting a lifelong friend, but if it goes a year or two it will have earned its way.

Huawei are a huge manufacturer and know an awful lot about mobile phone technology, they probably make most the 3G dongles out there (I have one branded O2 used for my laptop) which is basically a mobile phone in a USB stick!

I'm simply pointing out that people have had to send these back for replacement due to a problem. Therefore if someone buys from Very and the probelm develops them they may have problems getting their money back if Very's customers services is as bad as some say.

Therefore people may want to consider whether to buy from them especially if there is a chance that they may claw back the money saved from the code.

The phone can be bought from Sainsburys or Argos as far as I am aware for £99

I appreciate that, I have no doubt Very are not great. I know many people using this phone and not heard of any screen problem, will keep an eye out for it.

Sadly Argos make you add £10 airtime so £110. The phone is £99 in Vodaphone shops and on their website too, not sure if you have to buy any airtime though.

It's about risk and reward, I guess. £66 at Very and take the risk of something happening and having the hassle of experiencing their CS or £100 (plus £10 top up?) from Vodafone/Argos and, probably, a much better CS experience. Personally, i would take the £66 offer every day of the week but everyone is different in this respect. To put it another way, you are effectively paying £40 more for a £66 phone because you fear something might happen to it at some point in the future. On such fears is the multi billion pound insurance industry based....

Just tried to order from Isme - none of the codes work unfortunately :(

Tempted at £99 but would prefer to buy from somewhere a little more reputable for that money, such a shame that stock seems so low! Really want this phone :/

The code 2AVKQ worked for my son at Very last week. Exact same procedure as ordering from Isme. I'm sure he already ordered from Very before but not opened a credit account. Still worked but i accept they may ask fro the £30 back at some stage.
