When you say 'steel wheels', do you mean alloys? Steel wheels normally mean standard non-alloy road wheels.
If it this ad,

definitely steel wheels. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

Website, Contact details, Address?
I think you could write a book on exactly what not to do. Getting your money back maybe an issue.
How established are they? What are the chances of them vanishing overnight?
I looked on adtrader but its a crappy search and 070 premium rate phone numbers.
I may be able to check them out for you.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
sorry, I'm not allowed to post links as I'm new to this site. if you look at the reply from lincroft1710, the website address is there. The phone numbers are mobile only. They seem to be an established company - I don't know. They had a lot of cars in their yards.0

There's been a car pitch running there for years. I have a feeling that this is a new name so says it all.0 -
Sorry to say that from the images you can see that the interior shows signs of either dampness or spillages.
To be honest, advertising a car with 'steel wheels' is a bit lame... what would you expect it to have... wooden ones? But at the same time, that would not be grounds for complaint. If it had been advertised has having 'alloy wheels' then that would be a different matter.
You should still follow the advice given by trading standards.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
the wheels aren't the issue - it is the fact that the car is undriveable. It was sold as roadworthy, and it isn't. The company don't return calls, hang up, and don't reply to emails. I also think that spillage is one thing - totally soaking wet is another. I will follow Trading Standards advice. Thank you for your reply.0

No fixed signs at the address, And mobile numbers only..
Website registered less than 2 years ago.
Several other websites registered Bristol/Manchester If you do a reverse lookup. Not sure if they are linked or just the same servers.
I wouldnt hang around. Send the letter before action. Dont make threats or tell them what you might do.
Letter before action then 7 days later file for small claims.
It may get you a result but i wouldnt hold my breath.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
