Nexus 4 - Google aggressive on price

Mine was sent out yesterday. Yeah, not looking forward to cutting down my SIM card...
Had mine a couple of weeks now, downloaded a micro sim template from the giffgaff website and cut my sim with good sturdy scissors (knowing that if I messed it up I could just get a replacement sim from giffgaff by reporting mine as "lost") as it happens it went ok - didn't fit in the sim tray immediately I had to get busy with a nail file to trim it to perfection

I got a replacement micro-SIM from a Vodafone shop, zero cost and no risk of snipping off a vital bit by mistake.0

Yep I've got it now (excellent, but haven't had much of a play yet) and did go round to the o2 store who give you a free SIM pack with a credit card size SIM (remember those?!!) containing a 'standard' SIM, containing a micro SIM.
Didn't really want to cut mine, and it's old too, so thought I might as well just get the free one. Once you've got the SIM, goto the o2 website, give them your mobile number, get texted a code, type the code into the website, type the number on the NEW SIM in, and the switch will take place. Mine took about 10 mins.0 -
Google refunded my shipping charge, no idea why as I got the phone two days after I ordered it.
Not going to complain though.0 -
Any one know when these will be back in stock after a 16GB after HTC died.0

Nobody knows (even Google I suspect) sadly.0

Has anyone got any problems with WiFi speed on the Nexus 4? When tethering, mine's painfully slow and generally unusable. I've had a look around and this seems to be a fairly common issue.0

Am I right in thinking that the cheapest way to get this is Sim-free phone + Sim-only contract?0

I've just bought one on contract and I think it's cheaper for me to have it like that.
o2. 24 month contract.
200 mins - unlimited texts - 500Mb data
Phone cost £104.99
Cost per month £21.50 with a £6.00 a month discount for the whole 24 months.
Total cost £477
To buy the phone from Google play £280.00
Giff Gaff £10 a month goodybag for 24 months - £240.00
Total cost £520
I only need a few mins so it works for me. Phone's being delivered on Monday, they do actually have it in stock. 16Gb version."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -

I think that's a good deal. Especially if you can't/don't want to wait for Google to get stock.
Did you remember Quidco/Topcashback? O2 give £50 back through those.0
