  • More than happy to look at your cv if you want me to.

Another little tip is to print your cv on a coloured paper - not a bright one, just something that will make yours instantly stand out. Yellow is good, as is pale green or blue. ;)
    What's your background then?

I can't really print my CV on any paper if it's an online application. All online applciations have to be 'opened' at the other end and I can not make them do that.

I sent 54 follow up emails yesterday saying I was very interested in the role/s and that with some that said you have to have industry specific exp I said all my skills were transferable and I would be very greatful if they could seriosuly consider me etc and or give feedback on my CV.

I can not make them read the CV/application and or the follow up and of course today I have had no reply apart from one who said there was so many people apply for the £12k job they never read them all.

All these words are very generic - do you also talk about being an excellent team player, good organisational skills etc? You need to show yourself as an individual - you are writing the same thing as everyone else.

I hope you did not say that you would be greatful - the correct spelling is grateful.

At a course (run by the job centre) I was on a while back someone suggested the different coloured paper as a way of making your CV stand out and the advisor running the course said that if you did that they could refer you for a sanction as it would be considered as a way of trying to get employers NOT to take you seriously.

That's exactly my point - you don't want to come across as generic, and that is. What does that tell them about you as an individual?

That is nonsense - I have never heard of someone being sanctioned for this reason, but I have seen it used as a successful way of standing out.

Predictive text should mean your spelling is always accurate!
