I know I'd throw it in the bin at my last job if I got that and besides someone is still to tell us all on Monster, Reed GAAPweb etc how do you get your CV on coloured paper?
You're being silly now, when using colour you should be tasteful with it. For instance, I know someone in the sports industry who has the shadow of a sportsman in the background of his cv/ proposals - subtle but effective, and very memorable.0 -
You should also be focusing your job search on employers' websites not simply agencies and jobs' boards.
A lot of people don't want the bother of working out which employers are in their travel-to-work area and so miss out on a good source of vacancies.0 -
This is the background I've used on my CV.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

If it's any help, there are pockets of "pure luck" out there.... I'm the wrong side of any age that employers don't want; I've spent 6 years being self-employed without any clients .... so not been "employed" for ages; My CV looks like a job-hopper (close downs, buy outs, relocations - I can pick a shoddy company that won't be around for long) .... and I applied for a job, got a phone call within 2-3 hours inviting me to interview 2 days hence, invited back the following day to be offered the job on the spot to start the next week.
Pockets of luck.....0 -
As I said earlier I'm just about to complete my Level 2 ITQ course, so have learnt a few new tricks so will have a go at adding some colour to my cv.
If I get sanctioned I'll blame you lot (I'm actually not on JSA at the moment so it won't happen)
