Well they were going to try to adapt the flat she's in atm, but there really isn't room for her crutches, never mind the wheelchair. So didn't bother with the major adaptations, and concentrated on rehousing her quickly. I've been impressed at how great the social work department and her new landlord have worked together, they really have been first class :T:T:T

That's great news mazza :T. I hope your daughter will be happy in her new home.

Thnx hon, really will make the world of difference.

Flat is all ready to go. All the repairs have been done. Just waiting for the housing officer to sign off on the repairs then we'll get the keys. Of course that means mazza has itchy feet and raring to go attitude right now :D

Found a man with a van who'll move all her big stuff for about £50 :T

The rest will be a bin bag move and family cars.

Itching to get started now :)

Well, that's it all signed up. Start the painting tomorrow. Nicely surprised to see the HA got a team of cleaners in to scrub everywhere. So not much to do. We were going to wait until she had moved in to decorate, but as we've got a couple of days to kill we might as well get it started :)

Well, it won't be her doing it. And it certainly won't be me :) That's why we have family isn't it? I've done plenty to help them over the years when I was able, it's pay back time :)

So pleased to hear the good news mazza. I hope your daughter will be very happy in her new home and I know it will be a weight off your mind to know she is finally settled.

You are a very caring and loving mum and the support you give your daughter is lovely, it is a shame there are not more parents like you.

Good luck with the decorating and pleased to hear you have family that will rally round to help.

    Take care

    Anny xx

Thank you Anny! The family and friends came round today and got stuck in. Only really the kitchen and the funky walls to be done now. I'm knackered watching them tbh and keeping them going in coffee and sandwiches :)

Just a little update to let you all know that's the dd moved into her flat.

Hoping now she'll be more settled and can start to get on with things now :)
