how do you intend to handle the advents

so as we hurtle towards that time of year again whats going to be your plan of action

will you be picky with what you enter? will you forgo doing the normal comps? will you forgo the dailies? will you give the advents a miss completely? will you cancel christmas? will you curl up in a ball in the corner of your room and rock back and forth? :rotfl:

I don't do dailies which I'm sure will help me.
Not sure how those who do, will be able to do both!

I probably enter them all in the first couple of days and then drop ones that are too much effort or overly complicated to enter. I find I get into a routine of doing and remembering the ones I really want to win or like entering.

The "fun" ish Facebook ones are normally best for me.

I think the latter -last year I ploughed through the dailies as well as normal comping & won more from the "normal" comps than I did the advents

I'm going to be more choosy this year.Going to miss 1st week of Advents,as i will be away.

Havent decided yet.

Will Not be giving up my dailies at all. I will be picky (which I am anyway). TBH Im nervous as Ive not experienced them yet and somedays I struggle to find an hour free to comp so got no idea how I will cope TBH. Looking forward to it though.

Last year I just did the ones I came across, bookmarked the interesting ones and used my own list. I didn't even realise there was a thread for them, but then again I only use the main Comps board. Will be doing the same again this year

Not sure tbh!

This will be my first Christmas comping. My DH has offered to help with advents so we'll both set up bookmarks for some each and stick with mainly our fav ones to start with and see how it goes.

I'll still do my 30-40 daily comps as they're quick to do and then try do as many of the end date ones as I can.

I've been trying to get ahead by doing my usual end date ones and then any posted that day for any up until the end of the year so I've got a head start on end date comps for December. But I've no idea if that will help much.

I won't do that many of the advents unless I really want a prize or I reckon the chances of winning a prize are good. I have plenty to keep me going with the normal comps and the dailies!

I have been fretting about the advents for a while! last year was my first advents, think I will do the same.

1. do advents
2. do dailys
3. check main board for any comps that finish on the day
4. go through the rest of the main board.
5. try to get a few hours sleep!

I think I caught up with the main board on xmas day and boxing day!

ah it`ll be fun this year im sure! ive started entering a lot more comps this last few months so therefore i expect to enter more advents aswell! thing is ive just started working again after a long struggle to gain employment so that will definately have an impact as my comping time will be cut down a lot from last year. thinking ahead i`ll:
1. do any advents im interested in.
2. do daillies/mag comps
3. try and do comps posted that day on the board
4. sit in my chair rocking back n forth whisky bottle in hand!! ;-)
