The Advents start on Saturday the 1st Dec so I hope The Times doesn't decide to have hourly comps running that weekend! The last thing we need is added stress!

OMG They are getting closer! I am trying really hard to keep up to date with MSE at the moment so when the Advents do start I will not be too overwhelmed!

I've been doing the same. I'd actually managed to get a couple of weeks ahead going by end date and then just entering any new ones I like each day (hopefully this is a good way and I'm not missing out any). That way come December I'm not as swapped. This is my first Advent madness so I'm nervous what I'm in for

Luckily I work in the afternoon/evenings so I can spend some time in the mornings comping (the housework can wait until Xmas eve :rotfl:)

I have been called for Jury Duty on the 5th so that may scupper my plans I'm selected for the Jury . Do you think they'll accept my busy comping schedule as a reasonable excuse for getting out of it?;)

I will enter as many Advents as I can, with mug of coffee to one side and just plough through in my own time and pace :) I really enjoy it as last year I won a Chocolate Fountain with The Food Network's Advent :)

  • I've just spotted this thread. Seeing as I've been signed off work, I have been working through by end date and have managed to get as far as 2nd January!!

So I've gone through all of December and I'm just working through posts as they are posted on the main board everyday. I have about 30 dailies, but I don't do the mag dailies, I'll only enter once if I want to win and then move on.

Hopefully, seeing as this will be my first advent, this might be a good strategy! I'm thinking I'll go through the advent thread come the 1st and create an advent dailies bookmark folder in Firefox for the ones I want to enter.

Good luck to all though :)
Back to comping after a 3-year hiatus :j

You can always plead insanity, they don't want you then :) Hope your jury experience is better then mine, 2 weeks of hanging around and I never did get to sit on a case.

Thanks Barnabysue...it was the same the last time I was called...pretty much waited outside the court room for a week only for my name not be chosen.

 I wonder if they have wifi I could take the laptop..put those hours of waiting to good comping use :D
