And, of course there are those memorable appearances by Patrick Troy on Watchdog. My favourite piece is when he was asked why PPC ticket envelopes look so much like those used by councils, complete with black chequer border. His answer was (believe it or not) that it was just a coincidence, and they weren't trying imitate a council document.

We are still waiting for the BPA to come back and reply to a few questions from the last time they tried this stunt.

Yeh, just read the thread(that rhymes!) and though she was I think 'ganged up upon' a bit the thread made clear that the BPA is all for its members not for the public and the whole PPC thing is a legal scam at best.
I would prefer a one to one discussion/debate between one PPC or a BPA person with one knowledgable person from MSE.

That's unlikely to happen. We have already had more than enough input from PPC people here and most of it gets binned because it inevitably ends-up as utter codswallop, threats, attempts to mislead or hounding specific posters who scare the socks off them.

Co-incidence! Laughable. Its impersonation to mislead. They should not be allowed to impersonate a fine/penalty ticket given out by the police/council.
It should be law that a PPC 'ticket' contains the words that this is not a fine or a penalty but a [fill in] so one one pays by being misled.

That might work, or at least a heavily moderated thread.
It would depend on MSE having someone to continuously moderate (I suppose the thread could be locked when no mod was available).
It would also need the BPA to put up someone who actually knew what they were talking about...

Is there such a person in the bpa at all ? ;)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Why invite them to try and legitimise their pure extortion, which is what it is, extortion pure and simple.

How many people on here can honestly say they would not have paid the "invoice" if they didn't have the internet? Not many i bet.

They have more or less been demanding money with menaces for years and the scum, which is what they are, have been getting away with it, well not any more. Sending quasi "official" letters out full of crap designed to scare people into paying and unfortunately many did and do because they are so conditioned and didn't know any different, they do now.

The scumbags are doing anything they can now to try and legitimise their "business" because they are now, rightly so, losing money hand over fist because people are now more wiser and the more the merrier.

Don't forget lurkers, they cannot demand money off no one, they are PRIVATE COMPANIES with no more powers than you or i.

YOU could set up a PPC tomorrow, tout for business, then attempt to extort people. The very same thing PPC's do.

Now you none believers who daren't ignore them, read the above and i'm sure it makes sense, YOU yes YOU a private citizen can do exactly what they are doing like sending out threatening letters designed to scare the unknowledgable into paying an extortionate amount of money to a PRIVATE COMPANY.

Now do you see how the scam works?

Forget all about trespass and contracts, they don't own the bloody land so how can they tell you what to do or not even as agents.

Their days are numbered and rightly so.
