Supermarket delivery driver - do you tip or not?

I'm afraid I don't tip anyone
On the rare occasion I eat out (generally family birthday meals) I have to scrape the money together to pay for it. My son and I do sometimes have takeaways, but again that is such a treat for us and a big extragavance - I can't manage to be tipping as well! I am always friendly and courteous to people though and I do feel guilty and worry they think I'm tight. It has never even entered my mind about tipping supermarket delivery drivers. Now I shall be feeling guilty about that too!

When I've had shopping delivered the guy comes up in the lift with all the crates on a trolley with wheels then hands me the plastic bags across the doorway... .
He "lugged" them onto that trolley with wheels0 -

It's his job!bright_side wrote: »I'm afraid I don't tip anyone
You shouldn't feel guilty about it.
I don't tip either - well not very often. In a restaurant if the service has been extremely good, but even that goes against my beliefs: people should do a good job for not other reward than a salary, and they should be paid a fair wage.
Services such as hairdressing and meals at restaurants or take aways, etc are expensive enough without customers having to pay extra, whilst managers line their pocket and pay their employees peanuts.LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

I never tip. They dump it on my doorstep and wait there whilst i unpack the bags so they can collect the crates.

I didn't even know I was supposed to tip the supermarket delivery driver! I do tip at restaurants because I know what it's like to be all day on your feet with less than minimum wage...............................................................................

I get my groceries from Ocado and I always give a tip to the driver - it's a stressful job for minimum wage and I want to show my appreciation for them doing the job.:hello:0

I'm the same as most people on this thread and never tip the shopping delivery person. I've never really considered it to be honest. But then again I rarely tip anywhere unless I find the service really excellent.
