I agree. I have left bad feedback to a seller when they don't bother leaving me positive feedback when I paid within 10 seconds of auction close. I am also a seller on eBay and have been for 15 years, I always leave feedback immediately I am paid - yet many don't even bother to leave feedback even though they are obviously happy with their item.

    Annoys me a lot!

Can you give us your ebay ID so we can put you on our blicked bidders list.
    Truly pathetic person.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I would also block 'suburbanwifey' purely for that comment, whether or not its actually true

We set auto feedback upon payment, although this can be glitchy at the best of times & back in June it failed for several weeks; http://www2.ebay.com/aw/uk/201207120932152.html

There's more to being a good buyer than just paying...I only leave feedback on receipt of feedback or once I know the buyer has received the item via email communication (for example).

As far as I am concerned feedback is left at the end of the transaction - For the buyer that is when they have received the item and for the seller that is when the buyer has received the item and is happy!

Feeback for buyers has become pretty pointless now all ebayers with a buying ID have 100% !!!

I haven't left feedback for my last 2 purchases as both haven't been straight forwards and I am still debating whether they were 'bad' enough to give a neutral. They aren't really positive but I am still unsure about neutral

I am chickening out at present and not doing anything

    I agree - I bought for a long time before I started selling - I had a 100% feedback - on paper I looked great but I could be a rubbish seller

    (I'm not btw ;) )

I always leave feedback when I receive an item I've bought as soon as I receive it, or as soon as possible after. I only leave feedback for buyers once they have left me feedback to say they have received their item. If they give me bad feedback, I'm not going to leave them any (depending on how bad it is)

Most sellers who happen to browse feedback left for others would block you for that. It shows a complete lack of understanding about how ebay works./

So true - i check the feedback of buyers who submit a best offer.

Any sign of unreasonable feedback left for others - i decline the offer and block them.

Feeback is supposed to be left at the END of the transaction. If you haven't left feedback to show you've received and are happy with the item then the transaction hasn't ended yet and there's no reason for you to neg the seller for not giving feedback yet.

Whether I'm the buyer or seller I'd never expect a seller to give feedback until a buyer has done so.

Well I am the opposite. I would expect a seller to leave feedback reflecting my part in the transaction - ie prompt payment.

What if I haven't received the item? What if I have received it, been very unhappy with the quality/speed of despatch or something, and left you stinking bad feedback? What then? Would you then leave me feedback saying 'prompt payer, thank you blah blah'? Yes? No? What exactly would you do that is different from leaving the buyer feedback after they have paid?

A sale is not complete until the buyer is happy. That is why the buyer should leave feedback first.

Your right - we can't do much different - but leaving pos feedback for a buyer who then uses paypal or feedback extorsion to scam you is not a nice feeling.

Its because some sellers are daft enough to leave good feedback for dodgey buyers - that its hard to see who is good and who is bad.
