Ebay Feedback

Why is it that whether I am the seller or the buyer, it always seem that I have to be the first to give feedback?:mad:
Also, why do so many people not bother to leave it even when you have given them good feedback?

Yes, it's very annoying, but my advice is always leave feedback for buyers quickly, since it's easiest to do it at the time that an item is packaged and addressed.
And especially because there are known to be a small proportion of buyers, who leave bad feedback and DSRs if a selller doesn't jump to leaves a positive for them! ... Though perhaps it's just an excuse!"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

I agree. I have left bad feedback to a seller when they don't bother leaving me positive feedback when I paid within 10 seconds of auction close. I am also a seller on eBay and have been for 15 years, I always leave feedback immediately I am paid - yet many don't even bother to leave feedback even though they are obviously happy with their item.
Annoys me a lot!0 -
Feedback is optional & not mandatory on either side.suburbanwifey wrote: »I have left bad feedback to a seller when they don't bother leaving me positive feedback
Leaving bad feedback as the seller hasn't left you any is a little petty, as the seller may have auto feedback set to leave positive upon positive being left for them0 -
It should be.0

Its not & never will be.
I hope you left the actual reasoning for your Neg, as customer service would remove it under social commentary & give you a warning.0 -

Most sellers who happen to browse feedback left for others would block you for that. It shows a complete lack of understanding about how ebay works./I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for your replies, it would just be nice to know that the item has been received by the buyer as much as anything.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0

For peace of mind it is always best to assume everything you send has arrived safely- after all if it hasn't then buyers are not slow in letting the seller know!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
