    Great minds think alike...

I have a fleece blanket under my sheet inbetween that and the mattress...I put a thicker duvet on the bed and I have two fleece blankets I can put over the duvet if needs be...they are bit small but they do work.

As I have lost much of hair the hat or scarf on my head does make a difference. i don't care what others think(besides there is only me to see what I look like):p

I had an auntie who was around 98 before she went into a home and she always wore a thick coat and a woollen hat in her home.

Yes a coat is a good idea.

I have fleecy dressing gowns - warm and lightweight, plus two quilted maxi coats with hoods - just like sleeping bag fabric so they are good to throw over you - or the bed.

If I was on my own I'd wear them but currently son would think I was loopy!

I find a shower less warming than a bath.

A good hot bath, even in a cold house, warms you to the bone, then, a quick dry and jumping into bed....

We have a cruddy shower though, so that might make all the difference!

Anyone wanting wrist warmers can just cut the feet off some long socks - or use sleeves from old sweaters.

Also fingers get cold using laptop in bed so I shall have to use those fingerless gloves - or you could just chop the ends off an old pair - fleecy not knitted though.

Yes I much prefer baths - but son, girlfriend and hubby has them so I try and economise by a quick shower and put heating on a little instead.

Never heard of them but thanks for the tip - just looking at the Asda website now.
