I just followed the tips from midnightraven3's posts, earlier in this thread. Also, where do I find the wooden plaques? What do I search in ebay? I can only find ready decorated ones... I owuld like the heart shaped ones and the rectangle ones... xx
Search for "wooden blanks" in the craft category. There are loads!0 -

I've been ferreting out supplies on ebay and have found some wood blanks and buttons (to embellish - maybe glue on with E6000?). Reckon I could get away with leftover wall paint and a black sharpie pen? Any hints gratefully appreciated!!
Print out your words using a nice font, using a pencil scribble over the words on the reverse side of the paper, place the paper over the thing you want to write on, scribble side down, and trace over the words with a pencil pressing quite hard, when you take it off you will have a print of the words which you can trace over with a sharpieI don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

Hello All! This is my first post on this particular part of the forum so I'm new to this
Basically, I came up with the idea of making friendship-dreamcatcher keyrings for my friends for Christmas. The top part is a friendship bracelet style of 'braiding'.
I made my loop around the keyring and knotted it and made the friendship braid and knotted this off. I then wrapped one strand of the extra string around a brass ring I got from my local haberdashery and tied this off at the top.
I then got another leftover strand and wrapped this around until I got to the bottom half of the ring, threaded on the 3 charms individually, continued wrapping the thread round and tied at the top.
I then did the dreamcatcher bit in the middle, added a bead and tied this off. Below is a picture of the finished products.
All in all, these costed me around 55p each to make (7p per keyring from ebay, 7p for the brass ring from the local haberdashery, around 10p for the thread from the haberdashery, 30p for the charms from my local bead shop and the beads were free from recycled bracelets). I hope you like these =]0
