    Should i use rooting powder?

I will pot one up for you this weekend. I'm afraid that's all i have to exchange, at the moment. Chocklit plants, watch this space? Too early to tell if they have survived. However, i shall pot my two new chocklit plants, this weekend. Yes i will, yes i will..............

I don't think you'll need rooting powder. Try it and see, all you have to lose is a leaf or two.

My dahlias have no sign of growth yet either, same family I think. It's still very early in the year and choclit plants are very tender. Certainly plant up the new ones, they will flower earlier which is no hardship!

    Orders please? :D

I'll put in some orders, I love having plants in the garden from friends, it makes them so special. Incidentally, I have bought a choclat plant for my garden, it's called ani and will eventually be in a container near my beloved Bear.

I have a pink, don't know it's variety name, given to me by a dear friend and I love it. I've called it Elaine after my friend.

I could use a puppy who DOES the gardening. :D

...and what's wrong with a living room/greenhouse. Pretty much the same as a conservatory I think! I had some seed trays by the patio door in the sunshine. NOT a good idea with a cat :eek:

Gardening heals the soul, plain and simple. I shall be painting pots today and deciding what to plant in them, probably herbs and pinks.

Good news on the cold weather payment, must be a relief for you.

Nah, not quite? My living space is decreasing, yet again. The floor is now covered with plants, seed trays, baskets. Need i go on? :rotfl: There's a danger my "visitors" this week, might cart me away? :D Seriously, it's not going to pass without comment. :o I need a gardening shed, i need a gardening shed.............................

There's alot of truth in that. Hope you had a relaxing day, yourself? I'm sure you will have done, as far as is possible. :)

Bad news is, it's only £25, but every little helps, and all that? Maybe still time for one more payment? It's freezing here again today, ( and it's been snowing.)

    Correction, it's still snowing :(

Definitely not, ( flowering earlier, that is.) I potted the two new chocklit plants yesterday, and one of them was in full growth. Yippee :D At least i might have one chocklit plant this year?

Seriously? Do you mean what i think you mean? :o

I remember reading this on a diary, yonks ago. It must have been yours. I'm truly humbled.

Any time. I'll send you a parcel at some point? ( if i can afford the p & p.) :D

Snow blizzard is now setting in. :( I'm glad i didn't plant anything in the garden. From one extreme to the other? The hottest day, back to the usual. I know i've set sunday aside as a " rest" day, not being too hard on myself, but i feel i should finish what i started yesterday. All these bulbs and seeds, are never going to grow in packets, and i should have "dealt" with them as i bought them?

Sadly, i didn't get any fresh air yesterday, but i used my head, and used an old throw as a work surface on the floor. Quite a chilling day, listening to music, too. I rarely listen to music, these days. I'm fast runnung out of space, and i don't want to live in cramped conditions with my plants, but needs must? Nor do i like every window sill over occupied with plants. No vacancies there, either.

I felt like i'd achieved much, but it took me all day, and i still haven't finished. :o Ne'er mind. I was going to post my achievements on my diary, but i was too tired even to write, and spent the whole evening asleep. Hence waking up early, again?

Yesterdays achievements? I planted all the seeds for my hanging baskets in seed trays. A variety of various patio plants, marigolds, etc, along with petunia, busy lizzie, ( didn't realise i had any, :rotfl:) sweet peas, ( along with the buckets of sweet peas,) the chocklit plants, the bleeding heart plant, and a pineapple lily, ( which i also forgot i had.)

    Pineapple lily :-

I also potted a cutting of easter cactus for NL. Cute, is the only word to describe it. :rotfl:

On to today. I was going to put the Lily of the valley straight into the ground, and was undecided about the lupins. The blizzard has made my decision for me. Today, i shall pot the lov, the lupins, and i'm sure i have some more sweet pea seeds, lurking around. Oh, mustn't forget the poached egg plant seeds, either. Thinking about it, i still have some aquilegia seeds knocking around, ( if i can find them.)

Now, i know i said i wasn't going to grow sunflowers. However, yesterday, i found a long lost present. Elephant poo in a box. Straight up. I kid you not. Courtesy of the NH museum, elephant poo in a box which contains sunflower seeds. :D Now, could this honestly be elephant poo? Whether it is or it isn't elephant poo, today i shall plant the 10 sunflower seeds, in the elephant poo, in the box. And if by some miracle i manage to flipping grow them, i shall send you at least one? piquant. :rotfl:

That should keep me out of mischief for a day?

Whoa, snow is now turning into blizzard. :(

That's the other thing gardening does, builds friendships :) A shared interest and dirty fingernails and all that!

Yes, my choccie plant will be called ani, when it's grown, and maybe when I've planted it up :rotfl:I will post a picture. You will look lovely by the Bear. His milkchurn is planted with all white flowers, at the moment he has pansies and snowdrops. The hyacinths, narcissus and tulips are pushing through.

Even though Sunday is a rest day, perhaps you could see it as an investment in pleasure rather than a task?

The plants should grow well then, if you subscribe to plants liking music. Either way, music is good for you too. The cramped conditions are only for another couple of months, then everything will be out in the garden and it will have been all worth it

Most of those can go straight in the ground later this week, save on some space indoors.

Elephant poo?? really?? I'm up for one of those! That is fun, I'd have to make a sign saying 'warning - elephant poo'
