We have been asking for help for 3 years as noticed out son got very easily frustrated if things didn't go the right way. You may have noticed from posts a few weeks ago we are in a nightmare situation at the moment. Our son was excluded from school for 2 days as he threw a chair and was very rude shouting etc to 3 teachers including the head. DH has just taken DS to doctors to discuss a private referral as have managed to get hold of £400 which I know is not a lot but may make the process quicker. We have been waiting since January 2011 for an appointment xxxNow on the 5:2 diet.

You know there is a way in which you can jump the system and whilst I know it should not be advocated you should take it. A one off private consultancy should cost you no more than £130 - ensure that that consultant has an NHS practice. When you are with him/her tell him that you have no insurance and that you want to go NHS for further appointments with him/her. He/she will read the situation in your favour. Ensure that you pay the £130 promptly preferably at desk:):)
£400 is too much to be parting with here. Only my opinion.never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
Had a fairly good night even though all the problems with my Mum and family were swirling around my brain. Then was woken at 8.00 by my sister saying she will be over to Mum's at 12 for the meeting with lan chap. They are coming to talk to Mum about the loan papers for the windows and electric works. My older sister ( who lives abroad) insists one of my brothers come aswell. So I just said to my sis that I would get Mum up and dressed and would then leave.
I have spent 18 months getting this council loan sorted for Mum to have the windows and now everyone wants to make sure it is ok.
I know I sound melodramatic but I am really down about the whle thing.
My older brother apparently told my sister that she was to put a stop to the work as he does not think it necessary.
Anyway there is a meeting on Thursday with Social Services and I told my sis I wont be at that one either. I am working towards finishing looking after Mum after Xmas so they can start to take over now.
It is a very sad situation but there you go. My sister kept shouting at me this morning that we are family and should look after each other. What a joke!
No shopping today either although I might return the Ogio Merlot for a refund as I was told by sa yesterday it was withdrawn for Health and Safety reasons and when I mentioned that I had heard there was glass in it he did not deny it. Will reprt back later what happens.
Sorry if I clogging up the thread with all my woes. I did have a long running thread in the Family section but closed it a few weeks ago as one of my family started snooping around here and they would not understand me taking advice from strangers. Having said that I have had a lot of help and support on here and on that thread. There is good in human nature if you look for it.0 -

Would a doctor have to refer me? Or would I need to look at local private hospitals? xxNow on the 5:2 diet.

I forgot to post yesterday, when I was in store yesterday (asking for fingers lol) I asked when the 3 for £10 might end, and the lady said "at least another week I think".
Shows how much she knew.. the offer is not showing on my MSM today
Still showing for me with 15 items available in the offer (lots more on As website).
I wonder how their system decides what gets included on MSM in your area (or if not logged in, does it use your IP address to identify rough location?) and where they take their feed from - we have 4As and 3 Ts reasonably close so saying it is out of stock/not available is a in my store is a pretty clever system as it does not know which I would use that day.

It is my understanding from my own experience that a doctor only needs to refer you if you are an insurance case. I have done the above once for gynae and once for child eczema with no referral either time from gp. On both occasions the result was the same outstanding. I went local private hospital. You may have to wait couple of weeks for appt to see the private consultant- don't be shy on phone about asking for cost. Obviously if you had doctors notes to bring to first appointment then that would be good- your gp will support you on this one. If they don't you can pay for a copy of the notes- think £25ish and they have to produce that.
If he prescribes anything you can get your gp to transfer the script to an NHS script. These are my experiences - please don't shout at me anyone I am only trying to help this loyal mse girl:)never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
Making the most of my day off by catching up on thd thread. You have been neglected recently and i am sorry.
