Evening all. Just about to try to catch up after a good day today, but thought I'd better post first
Yesterday, Steve and Andy arrived about 11am, put together my new oak bookcase, assembled 2 Ikea wooden shelving units, removed all my stash  from my walk-in cupboard, and then removed my faulty freezer, putting it outside. This gave more room in my cupboard so, after moving my fridge/freezer to the other corner of the cupboard, they put the 2 new shelf units along the back wall and we set about putting everything in better order and it looks so good :j :j :j :j
Then today, we cleared some things from the hall, taking down mirror, coat hooks, etc, and put a bureau and bookcase outside to go to the tip. While I was taking several bags of rubbish, cardboard and my broken vacuum cleaner to the tip, they cleaned up, washing down the woodwork and sanding it down. When I got back, I set about doing dishes and clearing up, and they put the first coat of emulsion on the walls. Later I took them out to local pub restaurant for a meal, as a thank you. They came back and cleared the stuff off my bed which had been put there out the way, and then got off back to a friend's house where they are staying
During the day, the freezer outside, which had been totally iced up inside, was very slowly defrosting and I managed to get one basket out every couple of hours or so. I did manage to get some of the food squeezed into my other freezer (fridge/freezer). I found 6 Chic Town pizzas and 4 packs of garlic bread from Ben & Jerry deal   so we had 2 pizzas between us at lunch time, and the others are in the fridge for tomorrow. I have cooked a spatchcook chicken, a roast chicken, got loads of veg in slow cooker to make soup and I have 5 packs of Tosco Finest Sausagesin the other fridge which I will cook tomorrow and Sunday. Plus I still have ONE RACK OF LAMB
:j :j, a turkey roast, one pack of Tosco Finest Italian Meatballs
, and some whoopsied pork chops and rump steak .. and one pack of Lidl weekend offer chicken goujons .................... you may notice a common theme here
EVERYthing is either old DTD, glitch or whoopsied, except the chicken goujons and they were special price :j :j
Unfortunately, I have 2 bin bags of stuff to throw outeither veg I couldn't fit in other freezer or use up, or somethings which had started to defrost and did not look good
At least I didn't pay much for any of it and have saved over half
It has been so cold here today in the chilly breeze that there's still some ice in the freezer, even though it has been outside with the door propped open all day
It has been a good couple of days for meand the lads have done so much :A :A. Had a great laugh this afternoon when I picked up the anti-freeze mat-thing which had been in the freezer and was trying to shake the water off it, when it slid straight out of my fingers, over my head, over the hedge and landed in the green/trees area outside the house. I was creased up laughing at what had happened, but of course, had to look in the window to see if the lads had seen me, and they had, and where laughing their heads off
As long as I ignore the bedroom and the back garden, I can actually feel like I live in a tidy clean house :rotfl: :rotfl: The bedroom is a job for the spring, when the wonderful Steve and Andy will be back to decorate it but before then I have to get rid of much more clutter and sort out what furniture I am going to have in there too. Oh, I got a call from Carpetr!ght today and they now have my cushionfloor in stock and are coming on Tuesday to fit it :j :j I will not recognise my home soon :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Good shopping day for me overall. Good shop in A's after coupons it's cost me £1.43 for over £45 worth:cool: (no probs with coupon acceptance either :T)
A bit gutted after going in my local A's and seeing lots of RTC SEL's with empty spaces. Normally I'm down there every other day atleast but I haven't been going down much recently so have missed it all, boo hoo! They've cleared the halloween stock and made way for xmas stock though :T but although they have the gold fingers tin, no trigger productBut it spurred me on to venture further afield and I included a couple of T's Express on my way and picked up 24 boxes of Finish tabs!! :j:T:j And I paid mainly with PP's
Picked up another 4 winning Maltesers on my Supermarket tour
Mr S I found 1 lone Jubilee caddy of Mini cheddars, scanned at 50p :T
Brought fish and chips home for tea :T
Couple ofI need a cheap kettle for my Uncle who is a skin flint in the extreme!! Found an SEL for one for £7 in T's but no stock
My phone bust completely, took my Mum's spare so she could text me to say what my Sister wanted bringing back from the chippy and the battery died so I asked a really lovely couple outside the chippy if I could borrow their phone for 2 secs!!:o:o:o:o I was so embarassed, I didn't know what to do and it was so late I didn't know if they'd already eaten! But they were very kind
Put a small amount of fuel in my car in Mr S (only a small amount as waiting for a promo) I was running low but the fuel light still hadn't come on when I put the fuel in. Drove off and the gauge didn't move. I thought ok, maybe a bit of time for it to register (though normally it's instantaneous) but after driving maybe 3 miles from Mr S into town and coming so far back, the fuel light comes on :mad: So I stopped on my way back (fish and chips going cold
) and asked if they've had any problems with that pump (this has never happened to me before so I didn't know what to do!) said no. Manager not available so have taken my details and will contact me tomorrow.
Hope you had a good day lovely :A xxxx
:hello: Elsie!! :lovethoug
Its been a real mixed bag for you ! I noticed that there was no reduced halloween in ours either. I seen them clearing it on halloween night out of the seasonal aisle but no idea where it went ???

Hello all!
Why did 36 people thank the poster for this contribution....
Makes a mockery of the whole idea of the "thankyou"
The whole thread seems full of it...
I really think this should be investigated by the powers that be, its like buying ratings on ebay....Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
