    Morning nutters! :D

I'm sorry I'm not getting on here much at the moment so have just quickly read back a bit, apologies for not thanking posts. Good to see something of the old thread back.

A few of you are having a rough time at the minute so hugs to Fudge, Mrs 3Dogs, fairclaire, logie, Tinyshoes, lilyvhs01 and anyone else that could use one. Things have been in a state of flux here and had some family stuff with my dad that wasn't very nice, but overall things are turning out pretty well. OH has a shiny new job which he will enjoy a lot more :) but it will mean he'll be abroad most of the time so I will have to get used to that again.:o

Fudgie I will be in touch, hope the sore throat is soon better x :A
    Hope is not a strategy.

  • Anyone know when Wilko and Asda reduced their Halloween stuff last year, was it on 31st or 1st or later. DD is having a party at the weekend so thought I would wait for the reductions.

Going out for a meal tonight for my birthday. Not very MSE but oh well. :o

Went to Chessington World of Adventures yesterday. Had a great time especially riding the rides in the dark.
  • Morning all. What a night. Managed to get my mitts on one of those ww meals. Will give it a whirl at lunchtime in the microwave and see how it goes.

Now.. onto what has been happening to me! Last night, at 12.30 am! I got a call from my sister. Now, her husband is a police man. Well.. her husband's cousin's next door neighbour was going to have his goldfish put down. Why? because it kept staring at them. They tried everything, even covering the bowl. But they thought that was cruel so they ended up ringing the cousin and getting him round. So the cousin phones my sister's husband and asks if she'd have the goldfish to save it from being put down. She can't, coz she's allergic to fish. So she rings me! My husband is against gold fish in all forms. To be honest, even if we did have it, I can't see it lasting because my husband would end up bloody well battering it and having it with his chips! He's awful.

So.. I've been ringing round my friends and family in the hope of re-homing the poor might. No luck so far, but will keep you informed. Actually, a song does spring to mind... Let me share it with you.

If anybody out there can offer me some advice, i'd greatly appreciate it. Just got a call from MIL. Had left a message on her machine this morning at 2.00 am. She says she can't have it as she doesn't have the room. Cheeky mare! She seems to have plenty of room for glitching cheese, soft & gentle and toilet rolls!

Have you tried your local pet shops?

We inherited a fish with a tank from an uncle (wasn't dead he just couldn't be bothered and we wanted to try tropical fish as a hobby!) It was a large red pirahnna, we asked a local pet shop and they said they were happy to take it off our hands, they sold it on, presumably made a profit and our tank was empty, result!

You could also scour your local area for somebody with a fish pond? They may let the goldfish take up residence there if asked (could need a suitable period for acclimatising it to outside although |I don't know for sure!):)

SpirallingDown - hope your results come back OK.

Hugs to everyone that needs them, and for everyone else too :)

I knew we shouldn't have visited Cuba - everywhere we go ends up with some disaster but this is taking the P, cos it has also managed to include New York and Canada
