By the way did Tescos ever get back to you guys about the Irish stores taking competitors' vouchers and HO didn't have a clue about it? Last I 'heard' on the facebook linked by pattylabelle, Kaz at CS facebook had contacted senior management late Saturday, and they asked for your patience waiting for a reply, probably today. Well?? Does T left hand know what the right hand is doing yet? I'm just interested in what is going on in the euro part of the isles!

Latest response a few posts above :)

what is it with jobsworth supervisors in asdas went into bodmin one and as im on holiday went for a weeks shop handed over coupons and supervisor scrutinised every one and then said well let you through this time i said well i wont shop here again.
she then asked sa to take a copy of my receipt hahaha wont show nowt as it just a normal shop
she didnt like fact i had £15 vouchers from a £24 spend(cc cheese)

I had the same problem in my local, don't normally have a problem, however they checked every voucher, then they took the vouchers to a Manager, eventually came back and then waited to match each voucher to the product.

What a pain, she kept appologising, and said it was because there had been a massive increase in voucher use and abuse, so now all vouchers will be checked by a manager, I said it was a shame it took so long, paid my 24p for my £16 shop and left.

Put it all in the boot with the identical shop I had just done at Mr S, and with the Special K bars from boots.

So all in all not a bad lunch hour 3 shops, and only paid £2.24 (sadly no vouchers for the pineapples which DW wanted).

I tried the WW hot salmon meal and it was ok, good job as I have another 4 now so far that is today:D.

    Response on FB :D

    Tesco Hello all,

Thank you for your continued patience whilst Kaz and I have been looking into this for you.

I am now in a position to confirm that our stores in Northern Ireland are trialling the acceptance of competitor coupons.

I am truly sorry for any confusion that has been caused.

    Regards,

That is uncanny! You must have been posting the answer just before I asked the question. Thanks!

Barcodes on the SEL and product should match, if they do there would be no way they would get me out of the store without my dtd.

I am looking for Disney dvd bogof stickers today, the offer should have finished yesterday.

I got 4 today but CS SA 'forgot' to give me DTD  got a £30 refund and wrote all over the reciept 'overcharge' so think a call to HO is in order but will have to wait until I rest a bit :o feeling very I'll now but should have blood results back first thing tomorrow.

  • well, i've not achieved much with my day off work other than keeping up on here for once, but off to get more biscuits/chocs on way to get OH from work then to my mum's to collect her and my brother and his brood who are visiting from "up north" for a couple of days.
Got to ferry them to a pub as I'm the only one with a car! And its a tiny 4 seater.
MSE meal out in pub 2 mains for £10, 6 adults/teenagers n a toddler going. Not seen bro n baby for 4 months, she's 18mths, my fav age.

    Have fun all x

Super excited Special K on again today, I missed the Red Berries. It is the last day though guys :(

Nikki - Well done you on SW. I need to join you :eek::(

Tiny :hello: Hello lovely lady :A So sorry Mum's having such a rotten time :( Hugs to you xxx

Hiya Fudge_Cake thanks for the hugs :A

I missed the red berries last time too so I am pleased about getting those today. :)

Another one here who needs to join Nikki with slimming world, Debsjc did really well I usually see her once a month and from the first time we met, each month I could see such a big difference. :)

I just feel I don't really have the time to organise menus etc, I don't really take the time to cook properly most days after looking after mum I go for quick and easy things. OH is a brilliant cook but tends to go for quite high calorie food but very delicious. Last night he cooked a chilli (not a Homepride one even though we have a few cans left!!), I was very good and did not have seconds but it is sitting there for tonight or tomorrow.

One thing I have managed to do is wean myself off of diet coke/pepsi max. I read somewhere that it has the opposite effect as the body expects something sweet and you are more likely to indulge in sweet things that actually contain sugar as you don't actually get it in the diet drink. :( At the moment the cans of coke are in the shed, had a blip for couple of days last week as DD1 brought an 8 pack in but I am just allowing myself to drink it when I am out which is not very often. ;)

Not drinking the coke, I am making good use of all the bottles of sparkling water I bought as fillers. :rotfl:

I was in T today looking for the Disney DVD's there was a staff member removing the BOGOF stickers, but I managed to find 4 before she had the chance to remove them. Went through the till and the boy on the till only scanned 3 of them, he was going on his break. So I went to CS and explained, she could not work out how much to refund me. Total cost of shopping was £46 she refunded £50, I don't know how she got to this figure as it was way more than I even paid, I wasn't complaining, took it and ran. For 3 DVD's I only paid £40 which I believe is what she should have refunded.
