Total we paid was 17.28, not bad considering that contained a non couponed bottle of port that the other half snuck in :(

Well, you are amazing!!! I would never be able to do that. Fantastic.xx
  • biscuitmad thats extreme couponing. i get flustered with more than 2 or 3. Well done!

  • I have just visited a local Tesco's to where I work. (I might as well not be here). I've had no phone calls, but the postman has been. There was no post for him to collect so he just swiped this thingy and it bleeped and he went away. Anyway, back to Tescos - I went to get one of these today. They are showing up on MSM as £5.00 in Asda. However... when I got there.. the SEL was saying 5.00! in Tesco.

Am I being blind? I cannot see biscuits on the APG.

for some reason the apg system is not picking up the biscuits so you pay £10 for tin of biscuits and 2 boxes chocs, so chocs compare at full price, £6 each in my case, when really paid £3.33 each. And £4+ apg back.

    Tesco Hello all,

Thank you for your continued patience whilst Kaz and I have been looking into this for you.

I am now in a position to confirm that our stores in Northern Ireland are trialling the acceptance of competitor coupons.

I am truly sorry for any confusion that has been caused.

    Regards,

    Matt – Customer Care

Thanks, I always take hubby as I get too stressed but the boy on the till was great just bleeped them all through and said we need to work harder as he has had more before!

I deleted the pic as it screwed up the size of my screen, you may need to do the same. :D
  • By the way did Tescos ever get back to you guys about the Irish stores taking competitors' vouchers and HO didn't have a clue about it? Last I 'heard' on the facebook linked by pattylabelle, Kaz at CS facebook had contacted senior management late Saturday, and they asked for your patience waiting for a reply, probably today. Well?? Does T left hand know what the right hand is doing yet? I'm just interested in what is going on in the euro part of the isles!
I am not young enough to know everything.

Wondered if anyone could help please:) I noticed that the Clubcard Exchange can be used for opticians. As I've just had an eye test(at Boots) and now need some rather expensive varifocals. I know I can just take my prescription to my Tesco optician but was wondering whether clubcard optician spend has any restrictions?

Guess I'll find out next week but has anyone got any experience of this? TIA:)
